Basically my data plan got extaded when i switch to the 6GB deal but the rep didn't mention this to me. SO my phone contract ends in July 2013 and my data plan ends in Aug 2015 which makes no sense. The rep I talk about it offer no help or any solutions other than for me to sing another 3year contract with them after july 2013 which is BS. Waiting for an answer. |
when did you switch? if u switched recently i don't think it makes that big of a difference coz all renewal are put on a flex tab now. so once your original contract is over (july 2013) it won't cost u anything to cancel your data.

I believe there is a cost to cancellation though not very much. If you haven't signed up for a new hardware it should be about $12.50 or something to cancel. That is what the rep told me, could be wrong.

^ I believe the $12.50 is only to disconnect the line
If he had gotten the data after the flex tab and removes it, there shouldn't be a cost since no subsidy was given
A rep also told me once upon a time that voice/data terms should ALWAYS match and there is never a case when it shouldn't. Managers always agreed in my experience but it seems this is not always common knowledge amongst the reps Posted via RS Mobile |

^^ that's what I though too but the rep I talk to disagree. Also he told me it would cost me around $120 to cancel my data plan after July 2013 so I was pretty piss.

^if you got the data before the flextab (January this year), max ECF for data only should be $100
If you got it after the flextab and didn't get a new phone on it, you shouldn't have an ECF...
But if your data term doesn't match with your voice, I'm sure it'll be easy to dispute
This happened to mine and my cousins (apparently its common for reps to mess this up cuz they have to manually fix the data term with plan changes), two separate managers fixed it with no issues
It might help if you don't tell retention that you are canceling lol that way they won't feel threatened? I dunno Posted via RS Mobile |

just saw that the S3 was one cent so i decided to play with rogers today
my early HUP fee was just above $200 but after a small chat i got it down to only 100 all in with tax n fees and i get the $50 rebate too later on
exact same plan with $10 flex data added on cause he wouldnt budge on the data requirement

anyone get a text from rogers saying that you have used up 80% of your data for the month these few days even when you just started your new monthly cycle (fresh).
Possibly an error on their system?

after taxes the whole thing comes to close to $60, wind is $34 so im still deciding... just want to carry the wind phone around for another couple days and see how it is.
on a side note also my early upgrade fee is like 3xx cause i just upgraded last january, they offered to reduce it slightly but it would only be by $100 or so, not really worth it.

I recently got the Super 6GB plan and I noticed my data contract now ends in Aug 2015 too. My voice contract ends Nov 2014, so thats freaking 9 months. My previous data contract was set to end in Nov 2014 too until I got the Super 6GB.

8 days but make sure you are under 30min.
i am still on the fence... wind seems good over all, i mean it works, i get bars.. i haven't made many voice calls due to the 30min thing. unlim data is the bonus for me but data on a berry is useless less emails etc...
i end up saving like $13 a month over what i currently pay with rogers(no data just bbm/email etc..) but on the flip side i end up spending $223 to get a bold on tab with wind will take me a little under 1.5yrs to break even on that. so i can go either way really, switch or stay with robbers.

In the future, things are not likely to get that much cheaper. And with the way Rogers is cracking down on retentions, how can you be assured that you'll pay what you're paying now for the rest of all eternity?

another thing is you save per month with wind/mobi but ultimately you pay out via hand sets, obtaining them thru wind/mobi or elsewhere, even on tab the price is high. i haven't paid a cent for my last 3 bolds thru rogers, all free. in the end it probably evens out. i am still undecided.

Contract is up, called retention last night and today, total 4 times, 4 different agents. First one offered me best deal, second and third told me that the 1st agent is gonna get audited or flag for giving out $15 dollar credits on a retention voice plan.
the 4th person gave me another 5$ credit on a $25 dollar 500mb data pack and said he will honor the 1st agent's offer. (pretty much keep my original voice retention plan)
My plan is (hopefully, they dont fuck it up and dishonor this plan)
250 mins plus 100 bonus.
CID,VM,2500txt value pack
Rogers-to-rogers
Unlm 6pm
Not sure if i have free incoming calls.
^ above is $25 dollars - 15dollar credits + $10 value pack (CID,VM,txt2500)
Plus 500mb data for $20
Plus 2.13 GRF
Total is 42.13.
Plus HST.--------------------->Adding GS3 for $50.01 plus $50 mail in rebate, + did not waive $35 admin fee .
I was one foot out of rogers door and into Wind for life, but I think the 42.13 plus tax and cheap GS3 upgrade pulled me back into the Robber's shadow.
Fingers crossed, better not misquoted me . White GS3 is on backorder for 3weeks.. Blue is in stock. I will have to wait for white.

i picked up the wind line on 14 day trial and i've been looking for a reason not to keep it but honestly i can't find one... works where i need it do, i even drove all around different areas and i had solid signal the whole time. $32.48 after tax and it includes everything, really can't go wrong.
if rogers offered me a "all in" plan, even everything i currently had just as a solid plan, not in credit form i'd stay but they don't.. i have to fight for my credits and it hate that.

I have the 6GB Super Plan and have just over a year left on my contract, is there a chance they'll budge? I want the S3 but I'd rather get it at a subsidized price

When I called them when there are 7 months left, they just simple told me " we can not renew your retention plans with all the credits, the codes dont exist, it is an old plan, you need to go on new plan"... blah blah blah.....
When It came to time to cancel and leave, Magically, the credits are able to be renewed ....... very tricky and after many diffrent CRS phone calls.

This is what my retention plan looks like:
150 minutes
Unlimited texting
Unlimited calls after 6pm
Caller ID (no name display)
6gb data
$45 taxes included. I always go over my minutes though, I'll see if I can squeeze in another 50 minutes from the retentions department
