Go to craigslist....theres a guy on there thats actually a distributor for P90x. He sells authentic copies, still sealed for $65. He also sells the Beachbody chin up bar too for cheap. His name is Rav; good guy to deal with.

London Drugs also sells it as well. Personally Id just download it haha. I just grabbed it recently and checked out the ab work out and thought the program was pretty good. Will get into it later.

The Ab Ripper X is actually a killer Ab workout!

Beilei 08-12-2009 04:09 PM

Thanks!

I'm still going to the gym to get bulky before going into this workout program.

shawn79 08-28-2009 02:54 AM

is it possible to still get rip by just doing the weight training and not cardio x yogo kenpo x strech? Since im already 10%bf

Hondaracer 08-28-2009 05:11 PM

ok so i'm considering doing P90X but i want to do it with dumbells..

is there a certain weight they recomend or do u have to go by what u can lift?

shawn79 08-28-2009 08:50 PM

^
5lb-20lb for beginners and fit people, 25lb-30lb if u can do it over 12 reps
in the video the heaviest dumbell they used were 25 and 30's for Alternating shoulder press.

Id say the weight training part is easy to follow through but its intense, gets me sweaty afterwards lol.
Just expect to say "ahhh fuck" every set u finish

sdubfid 08-29-2009 05:39 PM

I ended up buying those quick switch dumbells from 5-50lbs. So much better than normal dumbells. Once you try them you will never go back. When I started I was doing 30lbs on some of the back exercises but now I'm at 50lbs so need to buy they add on package to make the dumbells heavier.

johny 11-28-2009 07:06 PM

where is the best place to buy this now?

I didn't see it at walmart. not on the walmart website or london drugs website. this weeks can tire catalog has it but at $130 or 140.

craiglist adds just seem sketchy

bimmer91 11-28-2009 11:04 PM

Fitness Town sells them^

I'll probably be picking one up tomorrow.

I know a few people who are on this program currently and they all say they are lossing weight like expected... if you're motivated it does deliver for sure.

Actually, there is this one guy that continuously posts on Craigslists that sells authentic copies at his costs. Hes a very good guy to deal with.....If i still had his number on me, i would PM it to you. So yeah, the day i messaged him, he responded within an hour and we did the transaction smoothly.

So yeah....check it out! 60 bucks is what i paid for the dvds, authentic copies, brand new and sealed.

johny 11-29-2009 04:58 PM

just bought one off ebay for $69 can with free shipping from Que. lots on there. beats having to leave the house to meet some stranger to save $9.

Anyone know where I can buy the P90x recovery drink locally?

JSilver 02-16-2010 07:35 PM

Ab Ripper X is awesome.

hchang 02-16-2010 08:10 PM

A couple of my buddies and I got together a while back and decided to all do this after hearing these other people doing it and getting amazing results.

It's definitely not a workout that beginners can just jump into doing, I've been working out for a year and started this program, and have found it challenging. I never used to work my abs, and when I tried the Ab Ripper program in the P90x my stomach area hurt for a week, therefore imagine your whole body aching if you're just jumping in as a beginner.

About two weeks ago I sprained my wrist and is unable to continue, but till then I have gotten decent results.
I agree that it's an amazing program if you have the mindset to do it.

!KiD 08-12-2010 12:02 PM

i only do the ab ripper X and it works hella well

one6o4 08-12-2010 07:12 PM

Yeah, as everyone said it's not really for beginners. I did it for about 5 weeks before I gave up. I gained about 7 pds of muscle since I used major whey protein / weight gainers, and I did no cardio at all, since I'm skinny. So I did modify the program a bit. I also ate like a fucking monster.

It's a very intense workout, the abs workout is really killer, and if you're starting workout with just p90x, you might not be able to finish even 5 minutes of it.

You have to be very motivated, get up everyday, sore, and be ready to jump back into it. I got pretty amazing results in just 5 weeks, now thinking about it, imagine what 90 days of this insanity would do for you.

If you're motivated and looking to get fit, lean, or gain muscle mass, P90X is a great program. I know it was for me!

blkgsr 11-29-2010 01:58 PM

what are you guys doing for equipemtn?

chin up bar?
resistance bands or free wights?
yoga mat

anything else?

me and my gf are going to start doing this, so i'd like free weights, and maybe reistance bands for her?

bloodmack 11-11-2011 10:38 PM

I know its a year old thread but I started this program a week and a half ago @254lbs 27% body fat. At first it was hard as hell but now that I know what to expect I am doing much better on the 2nd week. I've done ab ripper 5 times now and its intense theres a total of 339 reps and so far I can do 262/339 (at the beginning i only did 59). Unless your some huge mother fucker you should be able to do what they do, but, don't expect to do as many reps as they do. Tony Horton mentions many times that you will get better and better every time you do it again. Has anyone here completed it and got good results?
