Did you guys hear about the new feature, Boundary Warp, for Photo Merge in PS/LR?

Looks pretty sweet, hopefully it works as well as the example they use

Cropping + Content Aware can be time consuming

Sony 85 GM weighs almost double the Batis 85...but the latter has been struggling with production to keep up with demand...there's report people's been waiting on zeiss for 6 months to deliver

the 11-blade will guarantee the bokeh to be outta this world ...if you can cough up 2500 bones

I haven't been to that one, but we have a couple similar "shows" (sales) locally. I'm not sure it would be worth the drive/time/shitty dollar to go down. Its usually a bunch of older stuff, not many gems to be found

Yeah... that's what I figured.

I'm just mainly into classic lens right now... their drawing is just very different when comparing to modern lenses.

I feel the same way, I have one autofocus lens for my Fuji, and 9 manual focus film lenses for it now

Two limitations with manual lenses...

1.) manual focus...

2.) the widest lenses made back then were usually around 28mm. 24mm was rare and anything past that is too expensive to be worth it. With the crop factor included, a 28mm is 42mm so anything wider than a normal view is nearly impossible.

For manual lenses, I just buy from Japan on Ebay. Most of the lenses are in pretty good shape and shipping is way faster than coming from the states. Bids are less competitive.

US is either good quality from estate sale with ridiculous prices or shitty broken lenses for parts but still stupidly high prices.

Anyone want to buy a Nikon 50mm f1.4 non ai??

With MF, you're gonna stand there for 5+ minutes to get a good focus. DSLR don't have the same focusing screen as SLRs to help you gauge focus.

Does anyone know if Kerrisdale Camera or Broadway Camera will price-match?

Dell has a deal on the Sony a6000 body for $529.99, and since I don't want to order online, I am hoping to buy one locally with price-matching

Any place locally that does Canon lens cleaning?

I have a 85L mk1 that has fungus in one of the elements. I'd like to clean and I'm wondering local options before mailing it out.

I've been enjoying mirorless a lot more and have been using a XE1. Is it worth it to upgrade to something like the X-T1? I'm planning on building out my kit more as well I have a 27mm 2.8 but I'm planning on picking up the 23mm 1.4 and a 35mm 1.4.

I'm going to be keeping my 6D but I don't think I'll be investing too much in terms of lenses on it anymore haha.

Yeah, I would be down there. Thanks for the notice. Saw their ads on CL too.

If anyone else is going, maybe we can do a gathering beforehand.

I'd say wait a bit. Fuji has been late in their camera cycle but a XT-2 should be on the horizon. Nevertheless, given how Fuji has been playing lately, it's more likely an incremental upgrade. So I wouldn't hold my breath for anything revolutionary and if you can find a Fuji at good price, I'd probably give it a try too.

for Sony camera users, have you guys heard that some guy created a hack into the system files so as to remove the 30min video cap? supposedly it's just the start and more features can be added

https://github.com/ma1co/OpenMemories-Tweak <for the files

i feel most people aren't bothered by the 30m recording limit

i'd like to be able to bind APS-C/S35 Crop Mode as a toggle on a custom button
or to add slog3 on the a7Rii via FW update since it's on the midrange a6300 (the a6000 got XAVCS codec via update that was on the a5100)

Not sure where to put this but I just wanted to share.

It took forever to get to this point but I finally did it.

Spoiler!

All the saving and sacrifice. I miss my car though and all the JDM parts it had

That shot of D4s and the 600mm.

That's literally a car (worth of gear) right there.

Sick setup congrat's on your purchase! That's exciting! Now you just need a Sherpa or an Ox to carry that setup around with you!

I'm seriously thinking about "down grading" my Canon 500mm F4L V1 and selling it. Anyone?
