hard to say EXACTLY what it's worth without an actual item name, but Lowepro backpacks *like* that range anywhere from $90-$250 at London Drugs: http://tinyurl.com/yctnrc

That one looks a lot like a Lowepro Trekker Mini, which retails at LD for $200: http://tinyurl.com/yb4c2a

(Note: specialty stores may give better pricing, LD's site was just the first one I found some actually listed online... still, $40 sound like a fair deal).

any one can give me suggestions?

used 1Ds (old 11MP version) or used 5D??

i thought of getting an used 1Ds because i thought it would have been cheaper than a used 5D (more modern, better picture quality, more MP, lighter)

but the fact is that an used 1Ds is probably still a bit more expensive than a used 5D, with the New 5D price only around $2500 after rebates.

the reason i want to get an used 1Ds is because,

well its a 1Ds!

but i guess a 5D is a better choice?

i am using a XT 350D now,

how much would it worth with the kit lens and the battery grip?

the kit lens is new because i never used it.

thanks!

How will this improve your photography, why do you want full frame? I'm not trying to put you on the stop, but what makes you want to spend that extra money because it's full frame?
I see this happen time and time again, people jump into camera gear and find out it's not really for them down the road.I don't want you making a mistake in upgrading to a 5D when just a 30D would do.

the biggest reason is that i am used to a 50mm f1.4 lens,

and wide angle lens

and the big viewfinder too.

its not like i can't take pictures with my 350D,

but u see when u take group pictures, it is actually very hard to see the expressions of the people because they are so tiny on the screen.

and the 17mm is not even wide at all...
(yes i can get a 10-20mm, etc) but that alone would cost $600+

i think a used 5D (around $2200 USD) is quite reasonably priced for what i want.

remember a fews ago a 3MP D30 would cost $3500

i really think a APS-C camera is really a compromise for small size and lower price, especially when full frame costed $7000, but its not the case anymore,

if a 30D costs $1200 (i am not sure of the price)

i think spending an extra $1000 for a 5D makes sense.

Depends for the shooting you do. Full frame camera do suffer from vignetting from wide angle (but what lens dosn't) but personally since I love to shoot sports a 5d is out of the question because the full frame captures more detail making bigger files making biggger transfers through the buffer. Hence why they can only shoot 3-4 fps per second compared to the 30d's 5.

I don’t think full frame suffers any more or less vignette then aps-c.
If you want a better buffer out of the 5D just shoot medium format instead the large. 5D can then outlast the 30D.
For sports 1series are the prime choice, 45 focus points, quick focus and fps.

Actually, that's not true - since 1.6 crop cameras only use the centre portion of the actual image the sensor is recording, the vignetting phenomenon is pretty much nul. In fact, I don't think I've ever been able to produce vignetting on any lens I've owned or rented with my Rebel XT or 30D.

On the other hand, when I borrowed my friend's 5D it became immediately apparent when shooting wide open. But personally I like the look of vignetting, I think it focuses the eye on the centre of the image better.

^ I've seen vignetting on my XT with my 12-24mm lens (with a thin UV filter) wide open

Isn't that an EF-S lens? That would explain it.

buffer and fps is two different things. The fps would stay the same, but the buffer can then write more

It's an EF lens, but what does EF-S do in regards to vignetting?

EF-S are lenses designed specifically for 1.6xcrop sensors, so it would stand to reason that you would get the same vignetting effect on one of these lenses on a 1.6 body, that you would on a regular EF lens and full frame body.

ok just a question guys, for people here who do jobs for photography, how much do you charge for a wedding?

like base rate for a wedding minimum of how many hours. then how much for each extra hours.

basic packages.
