Who's ready with their telephoto Lenses for the Supermoon. It will be super BRIGHT, bright than usual. Hopefully it's bigger than the one I saw 3 weeks ago where it was Low/Yellow-Orange. Moon rises at 8:02pm tonight, hopefully not too many clouds.
Now, it makes me want to consider getting a telephoto lens. Only got a wide angle and standard prime lens

You have to take the moon when it just rises or near sunset as that's the closest the moon will be to earth.
It really isn't - it's just an illusion - but it's also the worst time to take a clear shot, because the Moon's light has to pass though more turbulent atmosphere. The best time to take a photo (for clarity) is when the Moon is directly south. This will be about 1:30am tonight.

anyone have good suggestions for personal gear in cold and/or wet weather?
looking for beanies and especially gloves. i saw some that have grip-like material for dexterity (that eventually falls off), and some that can expose your thumb and index finger (all weird design/colors; none in plain black).

The Noktor is not a replacement for any of the other f0.95 lenses. It's more like a Holga lens. The Voightlander 50mm f1.1 Nokton is an ideal substitute, but that Leica is such a sweet lens...totally worth $11,000 if you can swing it.
