I spent some time in Arizona recently with my D600 and I am really impressed by the dynamic range of the sensor. This is a picture I shot, sun in the right corner. I shot in raw and converted to jpeg.
Not much detail? I boosted the blacks and shadows in Lightroom and look at that!
Unbelievable!
One problem tho, I shot at f10 and I see the dreaded oil spots on the sensor Better bring out the spot removal tool.
Nice, my account expired while I was away over the weekend because my credit card info has changed. Guess I don't need to renew it anymore if they are giving away 1 terabyte free
Although they will stop offering Pro accounts, people with existing Pro accounts can still pay $25 instead of $50 to not see the advertisements. Posted via RS Mobile
I bought my GH2 for $400 and I love it. M43 lenses are cheap and more importantly, Pentax M42 screw mount lenses are even cheaper and adapters are $10. You'll be manual focusing anyways. GH2 has a great articulated screen and if you want to hack it for even better IQ then feel free but stock IQ is pretty damned good too.
Disadvantage is that with the 1.86x crop (it's a weird 4/3 sensor), you'll never really be able to get superwide and teles are REALLY tele.
Nikon D5200 is a cheap option if you're a Nikon shooter. Apparently that sensor is capable of some great video.
Magic Lantern has unlocked video shooting in Canon 50D's as well - they're super cheap on the used market. Not sure how good the quality is - but should be good enough. the 1.6 crop will be easier to use - and it's easy to find UWA lenses for it if you need to go that route.

i recently had a similar issue
and then after ejecting it and playing with the lock slider and plugging it back in (a few times) windows tells me that there are errors on the card and i should repair it
after allowing windows to repair it it works again
