Anyone else watching this new Gundam series?
What I want to know is...
...are those dudes actually gay or did someone fuck up the subtitles?

I thought they were joking around.... | I don't know, man...they look pretty serious. There wasn't a jolly "Hahaha! You're a homo!" laugh after. I'm wondering if the translation was screwed or if...y'know...I mean, they're two dudes...in a van all day...

Just watched episode 4...holy cow this show is something else! I'm liking it quite a lot. Quote: Originally posted by Ronin ...are those dudes actually gay or did someone fuck up the subtitles? | The subtitles look right...but I guess we'll have to keep watching to find out. -_- But yeah, some of the character designs are pretty "WTF". And apparently, in the 24th Century, all girls will have giant gazongas.
I like the pink-haired girl though.

have not watched a single gundam series, but this one looks promising.
Celestial Beings, eh?
Anyone think that professor is still alive?

"Celestial Being", not plural heh.
What professor? And oh, lots of Gundam series are good. Some are more kiddy than others, but most of them have enough levels that people of any age will get something out of them. Watch the original Z Gundam series, it'll get you depressed. |

The creator of Gundam who supposedly died 100 (10?) years ago?
Itching to watch episode 4 when I get home. Love the XviD HD versions.

There's still too much Gundam Wing bullshit in this series. I like the more..."realistic" UC series where one man can't kill a billion. Amuro Ray and Char Aznable were like...the best...and they only had less than 100 kills.

True true, but the way they're tying in political stuff is intriguing, and I think brings a different level of realism to the franchise.
Gundam Wing....if they pull out a Twin Buster Rifle or a ZERO system, THEN that's when it's gone too far...haha

Huh? This is more "realistic" than Gundam SEED.
I LOVE Gundam SEED (original, not that putrid mess Destiny) but damn Kira slicing through an ENTIRE FLEET of enemy Gundams and warships is like.... ummm yea.
I'm liking 00 a lot, more than I expected.
I'm not growing attached to any character, but the story is interesting and good.

SEED Destiny started off good, but then it all went downhill from there. -_-
Let's hope Double-O doesn't do the same thing.

It's pretty good, but I don't see it going anywhere for at least another 3 episodes, which is the same for all Gundams.
Waiting for Episode 5 to be subbed.. I'm just watching it online instead of downloading it.

Holy cow Ep 5 was something else! A lot of UC references here...(*Char's Counterattack* *Newtypes!*)...but it was totally not what I expected it to be. Sergei's also becoming one of my favorite characters, as he seems to be have a strong sense of morals and is honourable. Bring on the next ep! |

episode 5 reminded me of the last episode of Gundam Wing with the portions of the satellite crashing to earth...
