Two lives are "worth" $1500. Wow, and I thought Brazil was the place to be when getting away with doing shit. Guess I was wrong.

^ Cut the fucking bullshit. There are a lot of accidents each year that result in fatalities. The drivers that were found at fault don't go to jail - they get fines. Unless they were driving drunk or there were some other similar circumstances. Just because they don't get their names in the papers with a nice headline like "Driver kills and gets off with fine" doesn't mean they don't happen. Posted via RS Mobile |

They only charged her $1500 because they needed a scape goat. The real problem was that in the past cops were allowed to run red lights without stopping. What do you think is going to happen eventually? Sure, it sucks two people died but again... it was only a matter of time before this happened. You can't put all the blame on the officer.
Since this accident, cops have to stop or slow down to a crawl before running a red light even with the lights on.

Its common sense to take caution at the intersection. Just because cops are allowed to run reds doesnt mean they should.
If people would only start using common sense rather than following outdated laws.....
