yeah it's a good deal for cameras... no import duties on optical devices or something along those lines..

take advatage of the high canadian dollar! Soon our looney will break even with the US dollar.

p.s Keep your eyes peeled @ the dell.com website.. sometimes they have amazing cupon sales.... you might score a DSL body or a lens for dirt dirt cheap

canon s3IS or rebel xt?

feel wise, they both arn't the greatest to me. I like the zoom and the image stabilizer on the s3is, but i feel that pictures are going to look alot nicer on the rebel. so in your honest opinion (all you pros and semi pros out there), how important do you think the image stabilizer is? i would really like the rebel xt to have an image stabilizer too without having to buy an expensive lens that has one built in.

i'm just starting out in the photography world and i'm planning on expanding a bit in the future. If i go with the s3is, i would probably get the available lenses/adapter for it. If i go with the rebel xt, i'll probably get the 75-300mm tele lens. Would the s3is keep me occupied long enough with all the accessories available to it? Or is getting the rebel xt and the tele lens going to be a better bet? the only thing that is pushing me towards the s3is side is the image stabilizer and the 12x optical zoom that it has.

Why not wait until the Sony Alpha dSLR comes out next month? It will have Minolta's body-integral anti-shake.

Osse 05-28-2006 06:12 PM

Okay..so I need a camera for my sis's wedding in July.
Focusing on either the Canon SD600 or the Panasonic FX01.

Which would you guys recommend? Reviews on the FX01 says in low light conditions not that great...shitty as I take quite a lot of pics in nightclubs. However it has builti in antishake which is good because my old SD300 has lot blurry pics.

Senna4ever 05-28-2006 09:18 PM

http://www.megapixel.net/reviews/can.../sd550-gen.php

Most P&S cameras do not do too well in low light.
