That's quite the bold claim, but alright.

one of my favourites, awesome spring rolls as well

The food is decent, but the stank in that hole is downright nasty

I think my tongue has just grown accustomed to the Pho Quyen on Fraser and 23rd? and Pho Tan on Main and 30th; simply because I live near those places..
Pho Tan, #38 on the menu is a MUST try. Got hooked after my first bowl.

Bao Chau on E.Hastings is good, they give good portions for the beverages like che dau do and its cheap too. 6.50 for a large 6.00 for a small .

jasonturbo 01-05-2011 05:45 PM

My .02

Petit Pho Saigon, I <3 the spring rolls, the service is 5 star in the world of Vietnamese cusine, and the place is clean... bathrooms are also very clean.

+ Location for me is great, if you're from North Shore or Burnaby it's prime.

FYI Pho Japolo on North Shore is fucking terrible in every way.

their spring rolls are so delicious but doesn't it suck that they changed it to pinky sized spring rolls?

I love going to this place, their broth is great and the place is pretty clean.

i used to love bao chau till i went to saigon, their noodles were sweet and the broth was much tasteful
but bao chaus spring roll is still the best and the portion is much bigger

PJ 01-05-2011 08:43 PM

Bao Chau spring rolls I think takes #1, but their Pho is so-so

bcrdukes 01-05-2011 10:49 PM

IMO, Petit PHo Saigon was MUCH better with the original owners. It's gone downhill with the current ones.

The difference was big enough that I realized the food was different before I noticed the operating staff had changed.

Never went back since.

I accidentally ordered some dinner sized spring rolls or something like that and it cost about 6 bucks? well worth it though

this place is definitely way more hygenic than the golden train express on kingsway, that place is disgusting and rude.

Just got back from my new favorite pho place in Surrey...

Pho Hot
9544 120th Street(Scott Road), Surrey B.C.

Pretty good, better than the other places in Surrey (Vinh,Tau Bay,Tam), in my opinion. Lots of noodles. I like how thin they slice their beef.

The place looked really clean and the space was pretty open, not cramped at all.

Give them a shot, I don't want them to close (we were the only people there for a good hour), cause the food is good and it's close to where I live :D

impulseX 01-07-2011 01:25 AM

song hoang on nanaimo and 1st :)

alwaysideways 01-12-2011 09:10 PM

FYI Pagoda on Commercial = FAIL

Do not go here for good Pho :( Yelp reviews were pure bullshit!

i also approve of this place :fullofwin:

babycheer 01-13-2011 08:19 AM

For all the Surrey-ians or if you are just in the area,
Pho Tam on 135st is the best.
Free parking, spring roll+salad roll and Large Pho for just $9
Yummy, I could go for some pho right now....:jiggy:

keifun 01-13-2011 06:05 PM

Bao Chau, because its in my area; plus they got killer spring rolls.

There are other locations around Metro Vancouver that I frequent.

The only place that I refuse to go is any Pho Hoa; all their franchise restaurants are horrible.

Hondaracer 01-13-2011 06:22 PM

anyone care to share a recipe for spring rolls or where i can buy bags of frozen ones?

dyan 01-13-2011 06:24 PM

pho hong i think? on fraser and 47th?

Purely 01-13-2011 06:30 PM

^Pho Hong is good
