is kim phuong the yellow banner, tiny place on victoria? It's good if it's the same place.

Yup

thai hang on hastings between victoria and nanaimo is my favourite

everything is great and in large portions, the spring rolls aren't the best though

large pho and viet coffee combo is $8 tax included

Yeah, their pho is solid, their coffee okish. But I go for their Bun. It's bigger than most places and just packed with everything.

I like Kim Phung..it's close to me, the only thing is it's a tad more expensive in comparison to other Vietnamese restaurants.

I find this place lacks in taste/quality though but it is good bang for buck.

Their coffee is absolute shit. Don't lie to yourself, lol.

I honestly think Pho Lan has decent food, but it seriously is the dirtiest pho place I've ever stepped into hands down. It even has a stench about it, I actually want to puke after I sit there for too long.

taucool 04-20-2011 09:40 PM

^their floor is always so greasy

rageguy 04-21-2011 12:42 AM

Thai hang has teh BEST lemon grass chicken on rice. So juicy and flavorful. They can charge twice the price for the combo and I would still go.

Pho tan in kerrisdale is a pretty good small joint, my friends co-worker's parents own it!

Crooks 04-26-2011 06:26 PM

Taste of asia, over at hastings. Near the Mcdonalds is pretty cheap and good.
