Pho Thanh Hoa on 431 Jones Street just off Ellis Street (Tenderloin area - yikes!)

I originally wanted to go to Pho Hoa Hung but the building was torn down? :confused: I just landed in Los Angeles. I'll review some pho here and post a thread later on in a few days. :)

That Pho Viet restaurant is my favorite over the last 10 years.

I realized every Pho tastes different. so some restaurant's soup base tastes so much different!

I just went to au petit cafe, sandwiches lived up to their hype. Loved the beef curry too.

I like Pho Lan across from city hall in richmond (3 rd)

just had some pho at the place on cambie and broadway...noodles were ok, but the spring roll had this weird overall taste to it. didnt like it that much

I'm not a pho expert, but the Pho kinda sucks IMO.

It's better than Pho hoa, but other than that....mediocre to me



There's another place down the road which is better, I forgot the name but it's on Saba Road I think.

You don't have to be a pho expert to know that Pho Lan is all that great. :p In all honesty, it's okay at best. The soup is bland, the noodles are of poor quality and the meats used in their pho dac biet is....blahzay. :o

i passed out at pho van once, to drunk lol

when i'm bored of pho, i go to cantonese restaurant for beef brisket noodle.

The lemongrass chicken is great at PHo Cao Van.. its deboned, and utterly delicious!

...has anyone had their "secret" beef dish? It's not on their menu and you have to preorder it 24 hours in advance. Had it on the weekend, it was pretty good but not spectacular. Maybe it was hyped by the fact it was a "secret" dish and not on the menu...

New Asia has now relocated to Continental Plaza ... I think i'm going to get me some subs tomorrow. :)

I had pho in Dresden, Germany. It was tasty but they used the same noodles found in pad thai so unfortunately, the noodles got soggy and the beef used was cheap sirloin. I had pho in Calgary - it comes close to Vancouver but it's way too clean to be good. :)
