Some other team will pop up who are able to challenge. It always happens.

Chances are, those teams will probably have ex-predator paddlers lol

Again, I wish I am out paddling instead of resting and bulking up.

^LOL

But yeah, it is indeed true. Mayfair is done. I was talking to the Hydrophobic guys that took the trip and paddled with Air Canada down in San Fran. They said that although they're done, they're certain that another team will arise because the paddlers still want to paddle and are looking to form a new team.

Favourite quote from them:

"Guys! Guys! You just need to be agressive! Just DIG DEEP AND BE GREEDY WITH THAT WATER! JUST BE GREEEEDY WITH IT!"

^LOL!
Everytime i read that, I imagine him doing his air paddling while saying that haha

What'd you think of Kamini's coaching?

Don't let your head get too big! :p

lol, I do have to ask what the distance was on this?

Keep in mind, being good on OC1 doesn't necessarily equate to being good on DB.

Yea, how was Kamini's methods?

Its a good thing if Kamini ignores you. It means you're doing things right.

Ya, wish I was still DBing so I can translate my OC skill, my technique on the OC is quite different than on the DB now. And my problem was always more in timing than technique

Kamini was just going around to different people in her coach boat to assist them, we were all different speeds so fairly far apart from each other. She's actually fairly nice, my coach said she's mean sometimes and ignores you, I didn't find that at all. Maybe cause she was dealing with new people.

I was at the cinema with Dave tonight and I asked him how it was and he told me Kamini got him to do 70%, probably to assess what your technique is like, to use it as a baseline or whatnot.

I just wonder how the video session is actually going to work out with it being so dark out there lol

Eh. I went from Rec C to paddling at the NTTs and CCWC in less than a year. [voice from Waterboy]You can do it![/voice]

RacePace 10-18-2009 09:51 PM

Time to see how fast I can do 5km, going to be aiming for your 27 mins lol. Going to give it a try next week I think

sho_bc 10-18-2009 09:55 PM

haha! my 27 min is probably going to be closer to, or above, 30 min this time around.... I've been off the water and out of the gym for way too long.

TracerFX 10-18-2009 11:37 PM

post your times after the time trial :D

RacePace 10-19-2009 06:33 AM

I'd be lucky to hit 35mins this time around. Haven't paddled since San Fran and all I've been doing are intermittent gym workouts. :| Just about the entire Magnum is telling me to keep my ass on the ground, but I'll see if I can paddle within the next couple of weekends.
