OK article from the folks at the Globe. Hmm...Telus going GSM (LTE I guess) for 4G, or rather, just before it? Like the article says, they better do it soon if they want to do it!

On a related note, they talked about possible GSM networks from Telus to get some of that yummy roaming revenue when 2010 comes around. That being said...Bell's the official phone dudes for 2010....haah wtf? Maybe they're going GSM very soon too.. :p

sorry i hate telus they billed me for 400+ dollars a while ago for talking over their so called unlimited incoming. so they billed me 400+ bucks i called them and complained. they said the promo starts later, but the sales rep told me on the day. so argued and went to sales rep he said i was right and he talked to telus but still in the end i lost 400 bucks to telus.

same thing happened when i was w/ rogers but i got my 1200 back =D

Perhaps they will keep the CDMA network and phase out slowly like what rogers did with TDMA heh.

That's very probable, should they decide to go GSM/UMTS/HSDPA/LTE/whatever-5G-will-be. :p

acutally it's gonna be some kind of HSDPA/EVDO hybrid network.... 3G ftw, baby.

and... if Apple announces a 3G iPhone, don't be surprised to see it on Telus.

I'd rather have a new provider come in for some competition. Feels a bit ridiculous to pay $6/mth for CID when it used to be $5 for both VM and CID only a few years ago... and paying $15/mth for 2mb of data is just plain stupid.

lol. They have 5 for 5 or 10 for 10. Or you could get the $5 for 10mb vision plan too.

Telus, in this case, would be a new carrier. Rogers should not be the only national carrier offering GSM/HSDPA.
