Been on a Nolan Binge

Memento - 8/10
-Awesome concept that was expertly executed. With a lesser director/writer it would've been a confusing mess.

Prestige - 8/10
-I am still confused

the Dark Knight - 9/10
-Made a PG 13 movie more grim and chilling than any slasher/horror flick, but at the same time, elevates itself from it's superhero movie genre so that it can standalone as a great film.

No Country For Old Men
9/10

Re-watched the movie after reading the book, I have to say its a pretty good adaptation and the acting is superb, of course, some parts are cut out. Actor that plays Chigurh is dead creepy and fits into that role perfectly. Watching the movie felt like a treat after reading the book because it really made all the events seem that much more realistic.

Battle of LA - 5/10 Lots of action, but seemed to be more of an inspirational movie which just doesn't work for this kinda plot imo.

Paul - 8/10 Go baked. It's super funny, lots of swearing which is just gravy.

Limitless - 8/10 There are some loopholes to the drug, but overall it was a great movie. I'd watch this first of the 3 that I just listed.

Korean film
Thirst. meh... the acting was decent, directing was ok.. no idea why they need such long 3 min sex scenes ... could have been much more developed.

incendies: 8/10

No a big box office film, nominated for oscars for foreign film, everything was in French and Arabic, all subtitles.
The story was nicely done, but you really have to follow it the entire time. the acting was decent for the two female leads. there are some emotional scenes also. I think all in all it was a great film, the ending was pretty great but it wasn't as epic as I wanted it to be.

acting by the two female leads 8.5/10
story (a rather long setup with a decent climax at the end) 8.75/10
overall 8/10

Insidious

just gotta say that it was one of the creepiest shit i’ve ever watched .. made me jump a few times , sound effects were some creepy-ass shit , and now it’s fucking with my head. can’t sleep tonight

few final scenes made me cringe in my seat and gave me goosebumps , 8/10 for the movie .. some parts were kinda foolish , but other than that , it's a decent movie

The Goodfellas, still one of my favourite movies 10/10
Truly one of Martin Scorsese's best movies ever directed.
Damm Robert De Niro and Ray Liotta rlly can play their parts.

Is this more of a mindfuck movie? Or just scary, creepy movie with no depth? I'm not saying the latter isn't scary, but I'm way more into mindfuck'd movieds
