Project X - 8/10 - Great mindless party movie. It's funny cause it ridiculous.

21 jump street - 7/10 - Action comedy isn't my cup of tea. Its never realistic and has a fake unlikely fight scenes.
I watched jumpstreet week after Project X...I guess Im giving this a lower rating cause I thought project X was better by being different.

Hunger Games - 6/10 - Never read the book and dont plan on it. Movie was too long and too slow with a short cliffhanger ending. I would watch the sequel on DVD.

Battle Royale - 7.7/10

School Wars: Hero

Very niche Japanese drama film based on the true story of a ex-Japanese national rugby team player becoming the coach of a high school team comprised mostly of undisciplined (read: borderline bosozoku) students circa 1974, who go on to win their prefectural championship after changing themselves. This one hit home for me because it nearly paralleled my own high school rugby team (comprised of kids with behaviour problems, but we took second place at the Fraser Valley championship, the first rugby award at my school since 1989). The actual rugby played isn't hammed up or exaggerated at all, and I'll have to admit, I shed a few tears at some points because the story gets heartwrenching. Manliest tearjerker I've ever watched.

9/10 because some parts of the plot seemed a bit oversimplified.

My expectation was high, came out feeling OK movie.
Actions were decent. It can be better since they are Gods.

Hunger Games 6.7/10

Not too bad as some said. Too bad the action scenes weren't more graphic.

Enjoyed it. Especially since it was cheap ticket Tuesday.

Jiro Dreams of sushi - 8/10 - Don't watch the movie hungry like I did. Makes you crave sushi like no other, awesome food porn. Also a very interesting tale of how a man strives for perfection and how it defines him entirely.
