Lone Survivor - 7/10

I was so excited when the trailers were released that I re-read the book. I was a little let down by the movie. It's decent from an entertainment point of view, but the entire movie felt extremely rushed.

Nope, not even close. The combat scenes were all pretty accurate, but there a lot of inconsistencies as to what really happened (probably decisions made from a production/directorial stand point). The latter half of the book and the time he spends with the Afghan people is pretty profound and really quite interesting... none of that was captured.

I highly recommend reading the book to understand what Luttrell actually went through.

Enough Said: 9/10.
I felt the ending was rushed. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the movie. It's nice to sit back and just enjoy the show.

Thought it was mostly hype until I watched it.

9/10 ... I think this is one of the best films I've watched in the past few years.

wolf of wall street
such a long movie, if they could've cut it down to 2 hrs, it would have been more enjoyable. even the lambo scene was dragged on for soooo long. 8/10

blue jasmine. HOLY SHIT, such an AMAZING MOVIE.... well, Cate Blanchett was mofo awesome. the heck with american hustle with Jennifer Lawrence and screw sandra bullock, cate had depth in her movie, she looks like she was hit by a train in the movie and man her acting amazing.

9/10 for acting, story was decent, i liked it 8/10.
btw, she's 44 and man do blondes age quickly.

Movie: HER.

a guy in the near future falls in love with the OS system. voice played by scarlett johansson; man even just her voice is epic hot
great script, interesting concept, movie was filmed in parts of shanghai. 8.5/10 some parts does get boring

Place Beyond The Pines - 8/10

Had a similar sort of feel as Drive in the beginning. Then changed gears halfway through... not sure if it was for better or worse. It was pretty interesting though... good acting from all parts.

Rush 8/10. Some of the acting was cheesy, but the sound was some next level shit.

The Wolf on Wall Street 9/10. Very long, but enjoyed just about every minute of it.

After Earth: 5/10
The concept of the movie was interesting and this really could have been a great movie. I didn't mind Will Smith too much in his role but I couldn't stand his son in his role. I totally understand why he would want to cast his own son in the movie but he did not do a good job at all, very poor acting on his behalf. Hopefully he'll get better, if not for him I would have given this movie a much higher score, maybe a 7.5-8 with a better actor.

Wasn't bad and kept me mostly entertained, but I found it dragging in some parts. Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence though....

Didnt expect much going in but kept me on edge throughout the whole movie.
Like Buried with Ryan Reynolds but in a car trunk and more tension.
