Lone Survivor 6/10

It was fine I guess, for a war movie. If it came out in 2003 or so I would have loved it a lot more I think

Wolf of Wall Street - 9/10, was too long but it was a great movie

American Hustle 6.5/10

Not sure what the hype was about. I place it in the same bucket as Gravity, but at least Gravity had the cinematography going for it. All AH had was that fleeting moment of Amy Adams' boob.

the raid 2 - 9/10 as well

So much action, and there is no censorship of the gore/violence -- I have never seen gore like this before lol

American Hustle: 7/10

It should have been better. It had all the makings of a great movie: Good actors, good story, good writing, but somehow couldn't get it done. Perhaps a different director could have taken it there.

Oculus 8/10

maintained a constant "edge-of-your-seat" tension throughout the last three-quarters of the film
kinda got convoluted but came together at the end, and closed with a shocker
creepy af

The purge 2/10 terrible movie, had no story and wasn't exciting at all

lone survivor
6.5/10
some parts are very unrealistic given it's a true story...and not enough lone wolf time given the title of the movie/book

rush
8.5/10
the rivals on screen look so much like their real-life counterpart it's scary

The Wolf of Wall Street - 8/10

went in with too high expectations, not leo's best acting, liked The Great Gatsby more both in picture quality and cast/acting, but nonetheless a great movie

Spoiler!

Captain Phillips: 9/10

Wow. The movie had me on the edge of my seat most of the time. Didn't think too much of it because it was a) Tom Hanks in a thriller? and b) I knew the gist of the story and figured the end.

But with that said, great acting all around. Soundtrack, visuals, acting, basically everything worked in unison for a great film. Very entertaining.
