The last movie I saw was Rurouni Kenshin (live action) - 6/10

It was aite...but the anime was just too good, seeing it all in live action was kinda weird and i thought it didn't really do the series any justice.

OldBoy (2013 Spike Lee Remake): 2/10

Watched this on Netflix out of curiosity since I've seen the original Korean 2003 version almost half a dozen of times.

If you've already seen the original, you'll absolutely DESPISE the American remake. If you haven't seen the original yet, go watch it. In short, don't bother watching the remake, it's utter trash.

Leave the remakes to directors like Martin Scorsese. This is easily Spike Lee's WORST film.

World War Z

I read the book and I made a decision to not watch because the book is amazing, and the movie is nothing like the book

movie as standalone: 7.5/10

movie in relation to book 1/10

I just wish they called it something else instead

Hunger Games: Catching Fire 7.5/10

Enjoyed it a lot more than the first one (I barely sat through that one) but she's still too whiny for me.

Downloaded (documentary on Napster, p2p sharing, and the music industry) 9/10

Since when was music a commodity that could be owned and sold? Music is a form of expression. Throughout history, music was never sold. People performed music for money, it was talent, but the sound wasn't captured and sold. I'm not against paying for concerts and seeing live music, but to copyright sound and monopolize it is to bastardize it. Music is so integral to the human soul it should never be denied to anyone.

How to Train your Dragon 2

7.5/10

Fast paced movie
Good, got some of the feels during emotional parts
Excellent soundtrack

Kinda conflicted about the message in the movie... Father and Mother were saying WAR! but the son didn't want war.... but in the end, the solution was war...?
So basically, is the morale of the story, sometimes there are badguys that can't be reasoned with (cue Dark Knight Joker) and must be fought...?

went into it not knowing anything about the movie, ended up liking it. The beginning was a bit overwhelming though.

boyhood .... mixed review.

Filmed over 12 yrs about a boy growing up.(they filmed the boy few weeks a yr and combine it into a story). Ethan Hawk plays the dad. HOLY CRAPPPPPP, it was 2.5 hours. I WANTED TO KILL MYSELF it was so long.

Seeing an elementary kid from on scene then next scene is few yrs later was pretty cool and definitel kept it interesting esp. when he's like high school one yr and then BAM, kid becomes EMO in college was definitely a good transition and shock.

The entire movie was dragged on sooooo slow and there wasn't really much of a climax, the last scene of the boy's mother wasn't much of a emotional roller coaster, it's really just c'est la vie.

script 8/10
adaption 9/10
just way way way too long at the end and I wanted it to end after knowing it's 2.5 hrs long. 8/10
