Chef - 8.5/10. Not sure about the whole "foodie" message at the end, but the food omg. Pretty good (if not standard) character development.
Gone Girl - 6.5/10. I had some really high expectations as this was a Fincher film. Great first half. Borderline excellent. But the ending was real BS. And the movie was 30 mins too long. Basically the last quarter/third was a throw-away imo.
pleasantly surprised...i understand it's based on a manga but i related it to groundhog day so the first bit of the movie is quite comical...the last 20 minutes was kinda weak
Gone girl 8.5/10
It was a good thriller with a twist, very suspenseful and disturbing. I actually stayed awake through out the entire movie. There are a few holes in the plot, but what movies have no hick ups
Finally got the time to watch the documentary Fed up (2014).
9/10
Very informative, shocking eye opener. It is f-ing scary how much sugar is in our "low far" packaged food, and every thing else. I have always wondered about the nutritional table, how most things such as fat, sodium, etc mention how much % of daily intake is present per serving.... sugar is not included because of sugar companies' lobbying.

Got taken to see it, thinking "great, another dracula movie" Turned out decent, not what I was expecting.

Transformers Age of Extinction, finally saw it....and I was checking the time the whole time waiting for it to be over...the blu-ray looks fantastic, the chick is hot, but everything else stunk...it could have been good imo if they dialed back the length of the action sequences and used that time to develop the story, which would have vastly improved the overall package
as it stands though 4/10
also i thought people were exaggerating about the hong kong scenes but it was bad
pretty badass. Luke Evans was the perfect guy for Dracula
some plot holes and obviously deviates from the original story, but if you just go in without any expectations you won't be disappointed
9+ out of ten, I don't know why im not giving it a 10. but I really loved this movie. Maybe because i felt I related to it a lot. Reminded me of myself when I was that age.

Not a foreign film buff but this was one of the best films I've ever seen. Working in VFX I get tired of seeing explosions, CGI and shitty acting in general. I found myself enjoying the plot, dialogue and casting so much that I literally didn't want the movie to end. Puts a good smile on your face and Ludovico Einaudi does a lot of the score. It's based on a true story as well so it leaves you with that corny warm feeling inside too
someone posted this as well a couple pages before you. I've had it on my list as one of the movies to watch and finally watched it.
Great movie! I had a a lot of people tell me it was awesome and it lived up to my expectations. something very different than what you are use to and superb acting. easily a solid 9/10,
