Gone Girl 8/10 - It kept me interested until the end but I didn't love the ending.

The dramatic parts were a bit overdramatic for me. That includes the core crime. It could've been any other crime actually, but the one used seemed forced for shock value. Otherwise, the overall story is quite similar to The Professional, just in Korean. Action choreography was top notch though- similar feel to The Raid, but less pretty martial arts and more just "bone-breaking" here.
And another thing- why are all "second-in-command BAD guys" in Asian movies always foreign nationals? lol
The Intouchables 10/10 - Probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. Someone recommended it a few pages back so I decided to check it out. Amazing writing, beautiful character dynamic, tons of emotions were felt throughout the movie. I hate subtitles with a passion but it didn't bother me in the slightest.
Enemy 2/10 - Weird, slow, weird
Guardians of the Galaxy 8/10 - Fun, exciting, cool visuals, funny characters. Overall enjoyable
I usually enjoy war movies, especially when they are set in the WW2 era. However, the plot in Fury was quite weak, and there were no moments in the movie that really "wowed" me. The final fight scene was disappointing and unrealistic in my opinion. It is still a movie that I would recommend, but it does not live up to it's hype.
Lucy reminded me of the movie Limitless, which is why I probably gave it a slightly higher rating. I liked the concept that they were trying to introduce in the movie. While the first half was pretty good, I will admit the last half of the movie was disappointing.
Could have done with a little less condescension there...

I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
However, Lucy has got to be one of the worst movies I have ever watched. I agree the beginning held promise but holy crap did that go downhill in hurry.
Typical good guy sees something they don't like and decides to take matters into his own hands and dish it out to the bad guys. With that said, action was decent, pace was good, and I enjoyed it. Movie isn't going to wow anyone but it's a decent 2hrs.

Having actually given money to the production of this film, I figured it was about time to actually watch it. I knew it was going to be a cheesy b-grade movie, so that's what I expected getting into it, but was surprisingly decent and not as terrible as I had expected. Pretty good CGI, decent acting (including a couple of rather well known German actors), and a plot that wasn't actually terrible. Would highly recommend for a night of drinking with friends.
There's something about Bollywood movies that I love, and this one in particular is no exception. Maybe it's the dramatic camera angles and sweeps, maybe it's the exaggerated acting, maybe it's the random musical interludes, or maybe it's just a combination of everything that manages to create a highly amusing film. The plot in this one is fairly lacking and it gets a little confusing when random characters get introduced and then not fleshed out, but it's still a great movie to watch if you just want to kill a couple hours and still stay amused.
