I'll be watching WW on Monday... I've been looking forward to it even though I still can't suspend disbelief that WW is a frail looking skinny model with fake boobs.

Especially SINCE they actually HAVE proper looking Amazons being played by Crossfit athletes!

This is like having Jesse Eisenberg play Thor. It just doesn't make sense that they couldn't get this casting right!

Not sure if you're serious or not but Wonder Woman in the original comics looks more like Gal Gadot than any of the dykes you posted.

it's like every other pirates. intro with some super exaggerated dramatic entrance where jack sparrow is running away from someone, balancing on a buncha stuff like a circus, while drunk, and then has ship problems, then solves it... while fighting a supernatural evil pirate.

pirates dead men tell no tales
absolute trash, i got free tickets to this and i still felt ripped off. I had a hard time staying awake, depp looking old, jokes are tired, action is lackluster, no climax, not sure who the antagonist is, pretty much just running away from other pirates. 2/10

Get Out

I had stumbled upon a more descriptive review of the movie before watching (no big spoilers but the general gist of the movie was mentioned).

8.5/10. I know why Jordan Peele named it Get Out lol

wonder woman was meh.
thought the pacing was really bad; there were times that were just so slow and the jokes were not necessary.

action was action and it was nicely done. I personally felt like a loser cause I couldn't figure out the ending. Could have been a bit better given 2hrs and 21 minutes.

What about the ending could you not figure out?

I enjoyed the movie, but I have low expectations. Gal Gadot is so beautiful!!

Not a movie but I watched the entire anime series called "Clannad". Other than Ghibli films, I've never watched an anime before, never mind a series.

It was tough (in a good way) but I got through it. I didn't like the ending though.

8/10

Finally watched grand Budapest hotel- 9/10. You either love or hate Wes Anderson and you already know if you'll like the movie. My fiancé hated moonrise kingdom, liked life aquatic and she couldn't even take her eyes off GBH the whole time. Maybe it's time to try the royal tenenbaums with her

And I stated catching up on some marvel movies (I don't care too much for them so I don't usually see them new)

Age of ultron, Antman, civil war, etc etc etc. The standalones are good as always but the actual avengers movies i dislike a lot. The direction and editing choices are so odd, it takes me out of the movie.

Take civil war. The actions scenes are jumpy, have awkward cuts and trips off the minds "a human can't move like that" alarm real fast. I am not talking about super strength or super speed, but like.... You can tell they sped up the footage of a punch by 3x to show "strength" and it looks so Akward. Yet in Antman the way the material was handled was fantastic! Wish I saw that movie in the theatres now..

Happiness 幸運是我 10/10
Movie about Alzheimer's; ( My grandpa & my other grandma both suffered from it.)
A guy meets an elder woman and story begins. Funny parts here and there, with some tear jerking moments. Truly an amazing film with Chinese + english subtitles. Great side story and smooth flow, highly recommended.

Small production which wasn't going to get made, but the producers said fuck the return of investment, it's a good movie /topic, let's get it made.

Actress in the movie won HK best actress in 2016 (her mom was also suffered from Alzheimer's; sadly the mom passed away before seeing her daughter accepting the award).

Your name (Kimi no na wa) by Makoto Shinkai - 10/10.

The story was great with beautifully executed artwork and direction. The music was excellent too. Highly recommended even if you are not into anime, must see if you are into it.

Life 2/10

Too many supposedly smart astronauts doing dumb things.

Incredibly cheesy moments and just overall a wasted cast. Jake was underused.

ALL EYEZ ON ME

Went to a early release

7/10

Quick review:

I liked Straight Outta Compton more
Acting was very good. Good highlights of 2Pac's life. The major flaw that I didn't like about the film, was that the pacing felt very rushed. The beginning of 2Pac's life went by very fast. I wish they had more about his ideals about Thug Life. Music was good, but IMO it was really lacking the track Changes, they REALLY should have put that in the film. Worth watching if you're a 2Pac fan, IMO

From what ai remember it wasn't released until after he was dead, would not make sense with the flow of this movie
