All eyez on me 7.5/10

Heavy on the west coast, gansta rap, nostalgia. Worth a watch for those who grew up on it. I have no doubt that a lot of what happened was dramatized and not that accurate. Suge knight is a grease ball. Man, Tupac could have made so many more hits, gone too soon.

Don't let that smiling face deceive you, this movie is fucking gritty. A Taxi Driver, playing at Tinseltown. Theatre worthy, truly.

9/10

He's a famous actor in Korea, actually, most of his movies I've seen are epic and legit. (Thirst & The host)

He's also been in Snowpiercer. That movie was also Korean Directed but with Captain America leading the role.

Check that one out on Netflix, that one was also damn good and I'd give it 8.5/10

GOTG Vol. 2: 8/10 - Nothing really wrong with it but seemed really long. I think I fell asleep for a few minutes during the final fight. Lol! A good watch though. Super funny with lots of over-the-top action and special effects.

The Hitman's Bodyguard. 7/10.

It was decent. The chemistry between ryan and samual is pretty good. Story is a bit lacking but very good action sequences.

all eyes on me 0/10

Thought it was beyond horrible, I heard it received really bad reviews but was hoping it was still going to be good and damn was I wrong. Not worth your time at all sadly.

Fate of the Furious 2/10

It's been completely Chinafied. It went from being a fun, over the top action series to just non stop stupidity with shit CG and advertisements everywhere. A complete waste of time.

Rock and Statham got it a couple points though

Ghost in the Shell 5/10

It was fine. Some cool scenery, some really bad CG. Seemed faithful to the source, though I haven't watch that since the 90's some time

These days I'm happy when I watch a movie and it doesn't feel like I wasted my time. This was one of those (F&F8 and Guardians 2 were not)

I'll admit I'm not the biggest super hero movie fan but with what I thought was pretty decent reviews I watched Wonder Woman and did not enjoy it at all.

I've discovered that you can't trust Marvel and DC superhero movie reviews any more. I don't know why, but some of these movies are as bad as Transformers movies, but get a free pass and a lot of praise.

Kiki's Delivery Service
8/10

We saw the dubbed version. I've never seen it with English audio. I didn't know how old it was until I heard Phil Hartman as Jiji, the cat. What a blast from the past!

Cineplex is showing Ghibli movies on various days. I would like to watch Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Nausicaa, and Castle in the Sky.

the Big Sick.
fuck, such a great movie, Based on a semi-real story of the actual Pakistani actor who plays the lead. I'm really blown away on how the movie flowed, the tough times on how people react and how true colors comes out.

highly recommended. Yes it's a "comedy" and some jokes are meh but it's the life of a standup comic. 9/10.
