Worst movie I've seen in a while. The eyes are comedic and I couldnt take him seriously. Probably would have liked to see more about his origin to make it a bit more real? The movements and special effects seemed to be trying too hard. Bf loved it tho.

I don't typically watch horror movies (hard pass on stuff like The Conjuring) but really wanted to watch IT. I enjoyed it a lot and found myself to be part of the half that was laughing their asses off. I thought I was not going to enjoy this at all since I wasn't sure what to expect. Felt way more like a dark fantasy adventure to me at least.

My friend sitting beside me was the opposite though, she kept covering her face and screaming while I was laughing.

Kind of reminded me a lot of Stranger Things but a touch more scarier.

Baby Driver.

Great score, acting, script and characters. Nothing was really overdone and you're not bored at all. Really impressed with the flow. Highly recommended 9/10

I enjoyed it, took my wife and my 11 year old. my wife and I watch a lot of horror movies, first one we brought him to. I actually thought we were going to have to leave because he didn't take the first part to well but he ended up toughing it out.

I thought it had a nice mix of scary moments and comedy.

From 10-12 I spent my summers watching every horror movie on the shelf, my mom would take me every day after she got home from work to pick up a couple from the local video store.

I don't think he enjoyed it, he slept on the couch with the dog in this living room last night because he didn't want to sleep alone in his room.

shoulda threw on a clown mask and chase him...

IT - 7 out 10..

felt like the same script as "Stranger Things" with a re-freshed killer Clown...darker twist on horror since the envelope has always being pushed by movies before with gore.

also did you guys know freddy played by robert england was gonna make a quick appearance before the director said nah...they showed the film was playing in theater during the the era of the MOVIE.

90's version was more creepy/psychological
2017's version was more jump scares & humour

IMO both are great!

Stronger:
Jake Gyllenhaal plays the dude who got hurt from the boston marathon bombing; based on a true story. Great movie, decent acting with support cast. Everyone in the movie you probably have never seen before but everyone is solid.
Wasn't too boring, nothing too cheesy, not Oscar worthy or epic tear jerker but still a good watch 7.5/10

Spiderman Homecoming: 6/10

I was surprised that I didn't really like this movie. Was kind of slow and Spiderman's friend Ned annoyed the heck out of me. The trailer was comedic and exciting but I felt none of that when watching the movie. The ferry scene was also very ridiculous.

deathnote on netflix. 2/10

This shit is so cringe worthy. William Da Foe was the only redeeming quality this movie had as a fuckin' voice over.

Anime NEVER gets translated well to live-action. EVER. It gets worse when it gets the hollywood treatment.

Dragonball evolution. *Shudder*. Lesson wasn't learned when I watched the first half of this. Never again will I watch an anime adaptation.

Dangal (bollywood movie obviously) based on biographical of a dad who loved wrestling, but after 4 girls and no boys, he was so sad. (Actor actually gained 30kg for the role and had to lose it all too). Dad actually realized her daughter had wrestling genes and started training his girls.

many yrs later, his 2 daughters went to compete in world class wrestling matches.

1) Based on a true story
2) great story telling about tough love, traditions and athletes and their training. It's actually pretty well paced and not those 4 hr movies (even though it was 3+ hrs (with intermission) movie)
3) actor is super famous for (The 3 idiots & his other movie called PK), the girls in the movies are really good too.

Truly a must watch, do check it out 9/10. Never been disappointed with his movies.

spiderman 7.5/10
i thought it wasn't half bad; I like Michael's character and he did do a damn fine job playing the villian.
it did drag on a bit but i like the Tony Stark prep talk turning point; spider man was being too cocky.

Haven't watched a movie on the big screen for years and gf recently really wanted to so (I even told her she regret it lol and she it at the end)

Gintama 6/10: it's the live action movie from the anime but quite disappointed in the fact that they didn't stick to the OG plot of the movie and instead chose somethings new

Spider man homecoming 5/10: I want Tobey Maguire back, seriously I sort of made no sense and out of hand for me

Chasing dragon 6/10: my dad grew up during that time in hk and Andy lau, Donnie yen character are both portray too nice..........but if u get past that then it's ok (cars were hella kinda fake lol)

Where did you watch chasing dragon.
I know the cars + scenes were filmed in the standard hk/ china/ shanghai backstage.. oh well.

As for spiderman, actually spiderman is suppose to be funny, witty (pre-toby days), back in 80-90s comic, so some people did enjoy seeing spiderman going back to the roots. I do agree, there were times it was a tad too much.

Cocky Teen Spiderman was fun in the 80-90's when I was also a cocky teenager. Now rather than being nostalgic, he's insufferable.

I know metrotown is showing Chasing Dragon. It was actually between Chasing Dragon or Never say die (GF wanted to watch some chinese movies). We opt of Never say die since is a comedy.

To be honest I am not sure if I like more Chinese movie being in theaters. The storyline are meh. I guess China gov have too much influence and they can't really use sensitive subjects at all so is just seems to dull and boring (other than comedy which is so so and love story).
