Jeremy Renner & Elizabeth Olsen; small time movie. Murder on native reserve in a cold ass place set in Wyoming. Jeremy is a hunter famous for tracking paws, animals in the snow etc.
Investigation happens and Elizabeth is in Wyoming doing research solving mystery.
To be honest, a very 1 dimensional film, cookie cutter equation. Ending climatic scene was legit and intense but overall, 6.5- 7 /10
If you have time, it's not a bad movie, the end scene + solving the mystery is ok at the end.
"american made" - 8/10..
very predictable when bad shit was going down, few comedy bits here and there,if you're a fan of Narco's on netflix you'll like the movie, worth the watch.

The story of Barry Seal, an American pilot who became a drug-runner for the CIA in the 1980s in a clandestine operation that would be exposed as the Iran-Contra Affair.
I know metrotown is showing Chasing Dragon. It was actually between Chasing Dragon or Never say die (GF wanted to watch some chinese movies). We opt of Never say die since is a comedy.
the movie was actually pretty good. Story was already done literally 25+ yrs ago with Andy Lau playing the same character.
Donnie Yan wasn't that good of an actor and neither was Andy Lau, all the supporting case was actually legit, just not the leading.
The movie wasn't bad, from music, script and characters, the only thing I had was that Andy Lau kept looking like GQ model every time ahhahaha
I enjoyed it and for a honger movie, it was not a bad movie 8/10
8/10 decent hong kong movie. Guy & girl dates for 10+ yrs, girl forgives 77 times. Decent acting all around with solid and TONS of cameos. Many 1st person POV type shots in the movie which was quite interesting. Script was good (based on a well know author / script writer).
Funny facts.
1) Director (Herman Yau) is a famous for doing cult & action films (HK Michael Bay), quite a shock to see him direct a romantic movie.
Action film includes Andy Lau's last movie (Shock Wave) & his most famous cult film in 1993 was (八仙飯店之人肉叉燒包) Dude rapes + kills women and makes BBQ pork buns with the corpse.
2) The film is heavily invested by Emperor Motion Pictures (also the company who founded Twins) so you'll see tons of cameo in the film are all from the same company. Very solid acting by all cameos.
3) Movie was based on a book by a women who write novels and over 300+ honger songs since the 90s.
Surprisingly, I know her and she dated my uncle for a short while and actually stayed at my house back in the 90s when she came to Vancouver.
i didn't like it. watched it in AVX/3D.. found the music/sound effects to be super jarring. had to cover my ears at some parts because i felt like my brain was gonna explode. love ryan gosling and jared leto. also... there were only like 10 people in the theatre and at least 4 of them were noisy during the movie. fml.
The Foreigner. Some cheesy spy stuff, but the plot was intense and seeing Jackie Chan not play an invincible hero was a welcome change. The fight scenes were well done as well, especially considering they had to make Jackie look old.
Potential was there to be so much more though. Action scenes were good, but the plot was a bit over complicated IMO. Maybe I just didn't understand the political conflict. It definitely needed more character development.
Spoiler!
If you want the audience on board with Jackie's pain and revenge story, you gotta give the daughter at least more than 2 mins of screen time for us to connect with her character before killing her off. Did we even get her name? And while we understand Jackie's a former agent/spy or something equivalent, a little more explanation on how he stays one step ahead and constantly finds out where he needs to be next would be nice. One of my peeves in movies are when characters just magically end up in places that they need to be without any sort of explanation or lead to how or why they know they need to be there.

Fist Fight 6/10 - Fairly text book with no crazy surprises however, there was a Tracy Morgan line that had me on the floor and rewinding it a few times plus the fight was legit. Worth the watch for sure but I feel if I rated it higher potential viewers might get their hopes up, and we can't be having that. Low expectations are what makes average movies seem good.

Probably the most enjoyable Marvel Studios movie since Guardians 1, by far the best Thor movie. Just a fun time without being too self indulgent. The world they created was so great on screen, no two aliens or spaceships looked alike. Valkyrie was awesome - way better than Wonder Woman - and she was just a side character.
blade runner: 2/10 nicely shot but the movie was so slow paced and boring, waiting for something big to happen which never does. Not a fan of his directing style.
I was a Lil confused from the political conflict as someone already mentioned. Plus I was barely hanging on to all the accents since I usually watch movies at home with CC LOL. I enjoyed the action though jackie's always so good. Brosnan is a freaking silver fox I'd marry him lol. I felt like they could have made the part where everyone finds out hes super skilled more detailed. One of the better movies I've seen in a while
Thought it honestly sucked and they were trying to be like 5th Element and it wasn't even close. I can really see why it didn't do anything at the box office
