And FYI it doesn't matter one bit what race your buddy is who said the movie is propaganda. Anyone can be a racist asshole
Even black people?

I prescribe to a fair and simple philosophy for determining these things; Reverse the roles and ask yourself if it would still seem ethical.
Like I said, haven't seen it. So I'll reserve judgment until I do.
Just thought I'd ask. But apparently, it's racist to even question the notion.
And apparently, you think it's acceptable for members to threaten violence against members with differing opinions.
I guess so long as you agree with theirs, it's ok.

lol if forums banned everyone who said "let's meet in person so I can beat you up" there would be literally no members left at all
I'd say to both of you guys not to take these things so seriously
This is the russian Apollo 13. it wasn't bad esp when it's based back in the 80s & based on true events.
acting was decent; script was good and overall a good movie. There has been a lot of space movies which really made me desensitized. Most common comparison would be Gravity; it's just so different.
Normal space movie; based in 1985 and true story. 7.5/10
Visually it's only ok (nothing will ever beat Dr. Strange). If you want to watch this as action, then this movie is not for you; as there are a lot of holes in the movie:
-everyone only had assault rifles and nothing else; no side arms, no belt with spare magazines..like wtf.
-even boy scouts were better dressed; the girls wore like random green Arc'teryx clothing and wearing a 75 L packs was all that's enough; no body armour, zero protective gear; hand held flashlights, a 1970 walkie talkie......wtf... it's 2018; even Arnold in Predator back in 1986 were better equipped. (well they did have a shot of 3 solar charger battery backpack . hahahaha
you're going to need someone to explain the ending to you. Not inception or intellstellar but dang you leave the theatre like wtf was that all about. Would say "Arrival" was better than this.
A good old fashioned animated movie with the classic elements that make a great movie great.
I predicted a ton of the movie's plot but that comes with age and I don't hold it against the film. The story was well conceived, the characters weren't the most dynamic but the chemistry between them is what made it work so well (given the main theme of the film).
Tired of Hollywood trying to fill checkbox quotas in their movies so this was a nice breath of fresh air. I have no reason to compare to other Pixar films. They all hold their own weight and independence.
Molly's game 8/10
Aaron Sorkin is epic; he directed and wrote the screen play. Why does that matter?
Cause a fucking boring ass movie can be done really well only if there is great dialogue.
eg// social network, moneyball (and steve jobs) were great examples.
Dialogue was great, pacing was extremely fast and it just made the 2 hours fly by.
I was really reluctant to watch this as I wasn't a huge fan of Jessica Chastain as she still can't act (esp with her RBF (resting bitch face)). All in all, it's based on a The True Story of the 26-Year-Old Woman Behind the Most Exclusive, High-Stakes Underground Poker Game in the World. Kevin Costner was the dad in the movie and I really like the last scene he was in (due to the dialogue).
Game Night - 8/10, as long as you don't take the movie seriously. The movie doesn't take itself seriously, and neither should you.
The whole movie is a fun date-night brain-off type movie for laughs. The whole cast looks like they're having fun, and while there is an abundance of ridiculous moments and plot-holes, it's a fun movie to watch.
Contratiempo or in US / Canada, it's called The Invisible Guest
9.5/10
Dang it is such a great film. Spanish thriller about a killer / businessman accused of the murder of his mistress. The room is totally concealed with no exits and he and the mistress was alone in the room.
Great script with flashbacks that kept the movie moving super smoothly. Multiple twists towards the end.
Man, a good thriller doesn't get any better than this. Kept me on my seat the whole time
Maybe it was my bad for going into the movie with high expectations after hearing all the hype. I'm typically pretty good at going in pretty neutral but failed this time. It wasn't a bad movie per say but nothing to write home about.

How the hell did Shape of Water win the Oscar? I thought Three Billboards was far better. Never seen a movie that combined such dark, dry humour with such a serious topic.
I had more than a few lol moments more than some straight out comedies. Sam Rockwell was brilliant.

Pacific Rim 2. 5/10. Way too long. Too little action. Story drag on too long and too many plot holes....
Black Panther 8/10 very enjoyable some funny parts but story was meh. it wasn't bad but wasn't too good either.
Ready Player one 10/10 awesome movie. Not a dull monent. Lot's of funny jokes (some are more for adults). Lots of stuff only gamers would get but still funny. Only drawback was I got the D-Box and for some sences it seems like they totally forgot about it so the sit wasn't moving when it should be.
Ready Player One - 7/10, only because I actually read the book.
It's a decent adaptation, with undoubtedly some Spielberg magic, but as always there are limits to what you can do with a book as source material and movie running times.
Spoiler!
Because of this, they really could have left out or softened the love story. They literally fall in love within hours of meeting. The book is able to develop this so it's believable, but in the movie it's like wtf. And it's not like it's a big part of the overall story either.
