A Taxi Driver in Soeul (2nd highest film on korean 2017) was hired to drive something to a military guarded town in Korean. Media black out for town Gwangju in 1980. Uprising, in 1980. German reporter went in and did a story.
See this as China Tiananmen square but not 1989. City taxi driver started as selfish, don't care about politics to caring about people and having an emotional journey.
It's based on a true story. Last 2 minutes of movie you'll see the real germany reporter's video... etc.
The Outlaws
Gangster type movie with a cop trying to chase after the bad guys. 2007 time zone; but there's no guns and there's no bombs. All old school fighting and territory battles.
Based on events that happened during that time.
solid 8/10
it's not bad. *actor was one of the dude in Train to Bushan
Rewatched Raid 2 a few nights ago (my second viewing of it) and WOW, I enjoyed it!
The first time I watched it I thought it was a bit messy and chaotic, and sorta "meh"; liked Raid Redemption better. But after this second viewing, I was sorta blown away by how crisp the action was. Definitely like it more than the first movie now. (Watched Raid Redemption maybe 4-5 times in total).
EDIT: oops, forgot to rate it. I'd say a solid 9/10 in terms of enjoyment. Story was still meh haha
War for the Planet of the Apes 8/10 - Symbolism everywhere so I can see why the critics and fans liked it so much. I can also see why people thought it may have been slow or boring at times. I loved it. Beautifully shot, great story and characters, burn of an ending haha, wrapped up nicely. It was a nice engaging adventure movie.
This movie constantly had us on the edge of our seat. Great cast, and really interesting setting.
OT: It's so good to watch a movie completely blind. Even reading the brief synopsis for this movie gave away too much. These days, I shield my eyes for trailers of movies I may want to see (ie Avengers).
Cast of Workaholics made a Netflix move... if you like Workaholics, which I do, then you will like this... but I think it's not their best work. Some great scenes, obviously the story is stupid, but some solid laughs... just have to roll your eyes at the stuff in between.
If you're dick-averse... don't watch it, all the nudity is dicks lol
Interesting concept, but the trailer kinda hyped it up a little. Personally thought it was pretty corny. Despite being categorized as horror, it wasn't really "scary"...
There were high-tension moments, but the movie was loaded with loud noises and cheap jump scares that pierce the quiet, of which I am not a fan. idk though, to each their own. Maybe my expectations were too high.
Yup, overrated movie. 7/10 at best.
Watch "Don't Breathe" if you guys want a good thriller. Now that's a 10/10 movie for me.
woah? only 6? considering really good reviews everywhere else... care to explain?
the lack of dialogue was really powerful
but the acting was subpar (esp the daughter, but whatever she's a kid, and the Jim Halpert's final scene...sorry I always forget his name I know he also did the directing)
I set myself up for disappointment with the high reviews, it's just closet scare after closet scare, no real story
still, it was fun and entertaining to watch it in theatres, everyone's trying not to eat popcorns too loud
Red sparrow.
man it was so boring. I was hoping there were more spy shit, and clearly, it was only ok.
I know they are trying to keep it interesting in Russia but again, your entire story is based on Russia yet everyone speaks English.
My AFC gave me an ABS CEL code of LOL while at WOT!

I just have two questions,,,
Spoiler!
1. why did dr strange, spiderman, iron man go to titan? was it just the alien ships destination?
2. How did the Nebula know to ask the guardians of the galaxy know to go to titan?

Spoiler!
1. ship autopilot destined for titan
2. Nebula probably saw the coordinates that a ship is going towards titan and maybe its thanos+gamora?

I'll take your word for it man. IIRC people raved about those movies, like they do for every Marvel movie, so it's hard to tell if one is going to be any good

This movie just feels more complete and made with more emotion

The thing that would be the biggest improvement for me is if the heroes are actually under a seeming threat, rather than just going through the motions of dumb action sequences, shooting bland looking bad CG aliens with a bunch of arrows and rockets.
