^The movie had a budget of 50 million?! I thought the CGI was a little hokey, but the movie was fantastic, oddly enough my girlfriend loved it as well, which was totally unexpected LOL.

I remembered the plot as being more than just running into 3 consecutive tornados

what a great rom com, not too much lol moments, but the premise of the movie is legit and makes it fun. I gotta say it's good to see this genre of film doing well. 8/10

I would NOT watch the previews; just go in for the ride.
Andy Samberg hasn't ever done anything good so it was a change to see him in a leading role.

Cute little movie, rom coms are hard to come by so just go in with zero expectations. J. K. Simmons is in it but doesn't really do much.

*there is one mid scene credit.

Tried too hard to be black hawk down, action was always saved for the last; the character development didn't really do so well. There were some everyday solider life scenes which was pretty tough to watch; it dive help with impact of the movie but didn't give it too much depth.

Even if you like war movies..this one is a past. 6.5-7/10 at best

Plam springs 4/10

No real funny parts no memorable lines and you knew what the ending was going to be.

Relic 6/10
couldn't get into it.

It was slow (expected), wasn't scary as expected, hype / being debut director.. was ok.
Do have to give props on the CGI / makeup / ending portion but it didn't help esp when the script was not solid and fell flat.

the movie mostly played guessing games and finally resolved its self near the end,the "Scary" factor was very much friday the 13th so it did feel very bland..also plot holes...she suddenly wasn't scared as shit anymore and came back....kinda didn't make sense that ending.

-good story and good acting.
Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson do a fine job in this film.

train to busan 2.

compared to the very first film, this felt like an entirely new story line.

everything is okay, but i got tired of the CGI racing scenes fast,it just looked so cheesy & fake, the acting was terribly cheesy while driving too,They also write in a bunch of k-drama.

anything else i felt like there was a few John Wick vs Zombies scenes with the main actor.

as a zombie fan 7/10....not good, but okay i'm sure the series could've ended with 1 film alone.

^ didn't like it either.

premise of the movie sucked balls: 4 people to retrieve an abandoned food truck with lots of cash. Finds truck and go home... ugh... no sense of story line, equipment to do the right job, regular joe blow + a token mom to do the job.

Last story line was about human emotions, husband vs wife, kid, gf, dilemma during the time on the train to see what to do when you have to choose between running away or putting yourself in danger.

This time, it was about guns and using lights to direct attention of zombies. I can't suggest this film to anyone, the car chase scene couldn't be THAT bad (as per Mr. Money's post before), ughhhh yeah... it's hilarious cause it's Carmageddon (old school PC game) + tokyo drift + Dead Rising.....

zombie movie.. sure... 7/10, but i couldn't recommend this movie to anyone whereas the 1st one was totally tug of war on emotions.

Got it. So they took something original, tried to Hollywood it up and cash in on the name recognition. Sounds about par for the course.

Spinster 2020 movie.

Summary, 40 yr old girl dealing with singleness is pretty much the entire movie. It's supposed to be a Rom Com, reviews were positive so i gave it a shot. I gotta say, the max I can give it is 5/10.
Shit script, bad casting, no climax, no progression of a movie.
Girl has a RBF (Resting Bitch Face), zero acting skills at all. In fact, there are not a single character in the film who I thought was even decent acting hence the bad casting. Dog was probably the best actor / actress.
I got really pissed as there ain't no climax nor a solid ending; not expecting Hollywood happily ever after, but it didn't really pull the movie together type ending.

ugh, was expecting a decent rom com but just ... went down the hill.

FINALLY got a chance to watch this in Cantonese.
It had potential, as it's a very taboo topic and glad it got made, I was super sad the ending wasn't legit / strong, in fact.. a bit flat.

Suk Suk was ok, because it was great to see Tai Bo after being in Taiwan movies for last 15 yrs. (Male protagonist / lead; he is most famous from being Jacky Chan's movies back in 90s).
Compared to Tracey below, I would watch Tracey 10 times over. Great supportive cast with some strong story line as well as tension (between husband & wife).

The Half of It

Chick flick + rom com, actually pretty legit. I was really skeptical, cause I hate it when hollywood cast 25 yr olds to play 15 yr old high school movies....

Extremely well scripted, paired with a good music score and really good pacing makes the movie flow really well. Could not figure out how the movie was going to end due to a few wtf moments, which was really refreshing for a hollywood movie to not use boring formulas.

When there is a good rhythm, all credits goes towards the director and script write who turns out to be the same person.

Casting was bang on. Even the props of the Asian flavors eg// Yukalt, Lee Kum Kee, oyster sauce etc...were well placed.

ONLY thing I would say that killed it for me is the lead actress, Leah Lewis. She keeps over acting, (being too smart / too serious / too strong of emotions etcs) making it really hard to believe she's actually playing the character, aside from that... solid acting from everyone.

Hard for me to admit, but i liked it, 9/10

For a netflix flim, it's not bad. Not going to draw crowds like Tom Cruise top tier movie, so guess they'll break even on netflix.

Music score is actually pretty good cause it has a rap undertone. Can't really nit pick too much, decent CGI, ok lead by J Foxx & Joseph Gordon-Levitt (where has he been?).

Why it worked? Even with loop holes, if you fast forward the pacing of the movie and don't give audience time to process.. it works... Why it didn't work, character development, zero, loop holes.. quite a few. Standard Hollywood receipe.

With lack of movies now.. it's not bad. Brainless watch 7/10.

American Pickle - 8/10

Fun movie, unique story and premise. Above average for a pandemic film.

Project Power 7/10, good mindless action movie but predictable cause Jaime Fox is always doing the same thing in all his later movies. Also the audio is messed up for a 5.1 setup, i thought it was just me but other netflix movies audio were way better for 5.1. The voices were way too low and the sound effects were way to loud.

Sputnik 8/10, absolutely great sci-fi movie. Brings the Alien vibes and does it very well. It's in russian but subtitles were on point.

Host 8/10, great horror movie. Brings the paranormal activity 1 vibes and does it good. Only 1 hour long but you'll understand why it's 1 hour long when you watch it. It's a very current event style horror movie.

Swear Netflix casts 25 year olds to play teens so they can show sex scenes and nudity, kinda fucked up lol..

Lots of netflix shows like Sex Education, Sabrina, etc. follow the same model

I could safely say that you could skip this and you wouldn't miss a thing. Halfway through I saw that there was 50 mins left and I was actually cringing at how much longer this would be. The CGI is equivalent to the old school hk movie CGI "legend of speed" with ekin LOL

Easy 4/10 and that's generous.
