Also, It seems also that Toyota/Lexus is definitely heading into a different direction as of late. Even the production of the IS-F is a different direction for Lexus. In fact, it wasn't an original car Lexus wanted to produce at all. It was their defiant designers that brought that possibility to the production line. I definitely wouldn't doubt the revival of any sports cars by Toyota, especially the Supra...

The Toyota / Subaru union benefits Subaru the most, since they now have a bigger base to neogiate parts.. however Subaru / Toyota Impreza sized cars the major components are not compatible (at least in NA spec cars) for the forseeable future.
I can't see Toyota using Subaru's layout (too time consuming and expensive).. and I can't see Subaru going to use Transverse engine when they have been touting symmetric AWD since the late 80s.
Perhaps a one off special like the GTR to a Skyline.
