ya i'd definitely pick the n82 over the n95 or waiting for n96. i've never been so sure about an n-series device bfore lol. im pretty sure n82 would b great for u. it's a very solid built device, functions are the exact same as n95, and price is pretty damn cheap lol. n82 prices on revscene right now are pretty crazy (500 - 520). wish i waited and picked up a used one myself lol. the keypad varies for differnt users. it may look like a bitch at first, but you really get used to it in the end, at least for me it did. i been texting more than ever now, and i have to say i've gotten used to the tiny keypad. ^ like Draft and albert , I've also decided to settle with my n82 for the time being:D....,until a crazier more solid device from nokia comes out haha |
Thing is, I'd probably be carrying both around anyways. If either of you have had/used k850 how is texting on n82 compared to it? thats the main thing drawing me back. I find k850 is pretty bad but tolerable. |
i found texting on n82 to be ALOT easier than the k850i, i think it's because the k850i had square keys, in which i usually had to find the right spot in my thumbs to be able to apply accurate and good enough pressure to push down on the key (dunno if that made sense.. lol). the n82 however has long keys, and no matter if u push down in the middle or on the edges of the keys, they still click. The keys are also widley spaced out, so mis-typing probably wont b a problem for u |
alright you guys have convinced me. solved one of my problems. N82 ftw. i wish they had a black n82.... now its just pda vs htc and cruise vs kaiser |
Yeah, the keypad isnt nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. i thought it would be hell, but I text really fast on it with no problems whatsoever |
wifi , schedule management just like old fashioned pda's, phone calls, video clips , musics.....:) thx for the input ! |
i'm stuck between TyTn II and Cruise also |

Form factor? Do you mind thick or prefer slim? Candybar-styled or a slider or some sort with a keyboard? |
just got N82 and htc touch (for $150 :D) n82 isnt as great as i though. the buttons are kind of awkward. the softkeys are weird because they're so flat. other than that i love that its so light and huge screen and most of all S60!!!! wow i miss it so much. time to add some apps :) btw htc touch isnt as slow as i thought. its bearable for $150, i just saved myself $550 hahahahahahah all in all im satisfied with N82 (GPS takes too long though) and with htc touch (a little slow) I'm a happy camper, thank you RS for helping me choose! |

Ive had mine for a month and im probably not gonna switch anytime soon. S60 cant be beaten |
I've decided my loyalties lie with HTC and Nokia. Never getting anything else ever again. Nokia and HTC have always been good to me. |
prefer slim and keypad one.. leaning toward : blackjack , moto Q, iphone.. |

YOu should upgrade the touch to the 'Blue Rom', it's one of the better Roms out there for it. |

^ which HTC Touch do you have? |
Rogers one. |
Does anyone know if Rogers Touch is CID unlockable...? i've been searching on xda and theres no answer. tried using th USPL unlocker and it doesn't work :( |
noob question: What is S60? N82 seems to be a good idea rite now. |
S60 is a type of operating system. Higher-end Nokias and some Samsungs use it. |
i only wish my n95-2 has better built quality...... when will nokia comes out with a black n82 or new flagship n series with solid build quality.... for those of u getting slow gps lock on, yall using agps??? i find that with agps turn on i can get a lock on within 10 second outside that's not bad imo |
