I'm down.
We'll build a tank and then we'll stick a generic fart can on it, + all the ricey things we can think of, including a huge RS banner for the windsheild (if it has one)
and we'll get chopstick to drive it

There's a team from the Lower Mainland. They went last year, and are planning to go this year. They ran well into the top 20 before a fire in the engine bay finished their day off.

2.2: Driver Eligibility: All drivers must have a valid US or International driver's license and a valid competition license (club memberships, rally licenses, and instructional licenses are not accepted). The ONLY acceptable competition licenses are: AMP, SCCA, FIA, NASA, NASCAR, CSRG, ARCA, WestCar, SRL, Legends/600, USAC, CASA, BCRA, BBORR, NCMA, MMRA, Barber Comp, CRA, ICSCC, HMSA, HSR, and SVRA. If you don't have one of these, you'll need to buy a 2008 comp-license waiver; these cost $50, are good for the 2008 calendar year, and are sold in the pits on Saturday morning before the race.
I want to drive

I was actually planning on doing this LAST year, but my partners all sold-out on me.
I'm pretty keen on trying to build a $500 944 (since I have enough spare parts to build another car) it'll probably have to wait until next year since I'm too busy this year... but if I run next year there will be a HUGE RevScene banner FO SHO!

Edit: This guy wants an "offer" http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/car/597085687.html
How about $300

$500 for the car. Tires & safety equipment are free. You can get $$$$ for parts that you remove & sell, and you can put that $$$$ back into the car without being penalised. And then I have shitloads of spare parts.. so it makes sense.

| 3.7: Fire-Retardant Clothing: Full SFI- or FIA-approved fire-retardant driving suits AND FULL FIRE-RESISTANT RACING LONG UNDERWEAR must be worn by all drivers at all times while inside the car. Single-layer 3.2/A1 or 3.2/A3 suits are accepted ONLY WHEN WORN WITH FIRE-RETARDANT LONGJOHNS. Multilayer suits rated 3.2/A5 or higher are highly recommended. Multilayer suits rated 3.2/A5 or higher may be worn without longjohns. Fire-retardant FIA or SFI-rated racing gloves and shoes are required. And yeah, while they may very well be superior, military-spec or firefighter suits are not SFI rated and thus we can't accept them.
Track guys: How much does this stuff cost, anyhow?

I just found the 24 Hours of LeMons website, and it greatly interests me! There's also the ChumpCar Series this year, which has 2-3 races in the West Coast region (Portland International Raceway, Infineon Raceway etc).
Maybe we can hit up the sponsors for sponsorship for this.
I'm thinking of getting a Previa, and stripping out the interior, and upping the boost on the supercharger. Mid-engined, boosted RWD/AWD minivan ftw!

i am down for the event, i have a few mechanic buddies as well that would be definately interested. Whos REALLY up for this? 6 ppl with $400 investment each would get a nice build.
i dont think the minivan would meet the weight requirement.. and i'll be slow as fuk lol
