Virgin means it came from the factory as a 1.1.1 device, and was NOT upgraded to 1.1.1 by a user.
Diff between the old and new? 1.1.1 has bug fixes, adds some menu options, support for TV-out, a new pop-up menu for music, and some other stuff. I posted a list of changes a few pages back I think, or you can easily find it on Google too.

Thanks man I appreciate your help!
I guess I will try and go for the 1.1.1 and then I can just unlock it myself if I follow the steps in the links provided. Some on craigslists are 1.1.1 unlocked already but they are asking $625+
ah found the 1.1.1 specs on page 3 of this thread. thanks.

Yeah, but it takes up a lot of memory and crashes everything else that's running...hahah I open up RS and the iPod app dies, the email app dies, and everything else...hahah
Sometimes RS takes Safari with it too. Silly iPhone, it really needs that 1.1.1 update. -_-

It supposedly fixes quite a few bugs, and I was hoping the random quitting of applications would've been fixed by better memory management behind-the-scenes. -_-
Ah well, I want my damned 1.1.1 update on my 1.0.2..haha

You'll save on time and gas unless you're heading down to Seattle to do more shopping.

My order arrived this afternoon around 12:30pm after the 2 day shipping option. TSB Shipping emailed me telling me that it arrived. Heading down there to pick it up tomorrow morning.

wtf
You're sure you told your credit card company to add an alternate address onto your card for US purchases right?
1574 Gulf Road
Point Roberts, WA 98281
Phone: 360-945-0740
Once that address is added on as an alternate address all you have to do is use that as your billing and shipping address.
I just picked up my iPhone from TSB about 1.5 hours ago. Long ass lineup into Point Roberts |

I am planning on just removing the unit, and pretending to use it, and just leave the boxes away | Got charged $50 for taxes which brings the total after tax to about $470 which is probably the cheapest without trying to smuggle the phone in.
You can try smuggling it in but you better make sure you're bringing other stuff back because they'll search you if you're gone for 10-20 minutes and have nothing to claim haha

What firmware are you running? If it's 1.1.1 you can try this: http://www.tuaw.com/2007/10/09/1-1-1...ingboard-hack/ |

Huh, that could be an issue, especially if you didn't install any of those alternate launchers (Dock, SummerBoard, etc.). Did you? What icons do you see?
