Didya get to meet Keith Code?
still got one more day left in the 3 day camp, but so far it's been awesome. there were so many misconceptions i had about riding that were completely smashed when keith explained the proper methods and physics behind everything. i used to be so focused on dragging my knees that all my concentration was spent on hanging off the bike as much as possible. but once i applied keith's teachings i became much smoother and faster, which automatically led to the knee dragging. i'll write more when i get home but all i can say is my confidence level has skyrocketed over the last 2 days. would definitely recommend
oh and yeah, keith personally teaches all the classroom sessions and is available to chat with any time.
Dragging knee is only an after effect of proper body position. To concentrate on dragging knee only and not on body position will get you in trouble pretty fast. I took Racer Training at WCSS a few yrs ago and I'm pretty interested on how much more advanced the basic techniques are. Also don't forget to take pics of your melted tires! That is actually more impressive than puck scrapes!
here's a vid from the last session of the 3rd day. im following my coach after turn 5. i've gained so much confidence from the coaching and i can't wait to keep practicing and learning on the tracks this year. funny thing is i'd be working my ass off following the coach and he'd go into a corner with his knee on the ground while steering with one hand and pointing at reference points with the other LOL
edit: and sorry for the shaky camera, my mount kinda screwed up on the last day.

god dayum that looks fun like how u handled the corkscrew. it looks pretty scary first person.
i actually turned too quickly into the 2nd part of the corkscrew my first time around and went into the sand LOL. you literally cannot see the damn turn until you're already down the hill.

I finally got some insurance on the bike. After some intense 5 hours of swapping my old fairings, I finally got the matte black punisher fairings on. Wasn't the best work, but it'll do! lol
