I'm visiting India for a couple months so have a new ride... Royal Enfield Bullet 350! At 350cc, it's the biggest bike I've seen. I saw a baby Yamaha the other day, a YZF-R15 -- that's 150cc, not 1500 :lol The gear shifter is on the right and the rear brake is on the left... took some getting used to lol http://i.imgur.com/X8msN.jpg |

3 Attachment(s) Buddy of mine was nice enough to take some rolling shots for me before the weather goes to crap |
^ hmm I think i've seen on broadway around 5-6pm one time last week. All I remember was a black car cut you off, and you total bitched him out |
LOL sounds like me. I don't mind slightly aggressive drivers and riders, but unsafe idiocy cannot go unscorm. It helps having an open face too so they can hear which profanities you're using ;) |
^ I'm thinking of rocking an open face from time to time next season, though I'm afraid of rocks and bugs hitting me lol is that much of an issue do you find? |
in the 20k and 3 years i've been riding exclusively with an open face, i have yet to be smoked in the face by anything major. theres a handful of stingers from bugs and shit falling from trees but i usually ride with some sort of covering. Got a good collection of scarves and a neoprene mask i use for roadtrips. Around town its totally fine but when you're on an undivided highway with Semi's and trucks flying by and lots of road debris, i've made it a habit to cover my lower face with my hand as they pass. it feels alot better than the full face i have collecting dust in the garage but i am aware of the danger. My friend who went to Pacific said they told him a stat. 80% of downed riders take some sort of hit in the face area. i am looking for a cosmonaut type helmet during the off season. Just cant get myself to ride my bike with a modern looking helmet. |
Yeah I hear you man, I'm planning on bobbing my bike hence why I'm considering it. On longer rides I'll bring out the full face, but for bombing around town I wanna go with the open face. |
"let's see your bike!" |
Lol not much to see yet! Everything is stripped down completely, I'm doing some engine work first and replacing some tranny parts. I'm out of the country until December, so can't touch anything until I'm back. A sportbike bobber... definitely not conventional but I wanted to do something wild and unique haha. Right now I'm looking for inspiration for a colour scheme I'll start a build thread when I'm back No recent pics, this was at the end of August. Forks and the swingarm are off now too http://i.imgur.com/59uik.jpg From a few pages back: Quote:

Rider down :c Fuck rain and bt 016 tires Truck stopped for pedestrian but the pedestrian waited like fucking 10 years before trying to cross, i expected the truck to move shortly after stopping. It was the dumbest fucking assumption ever, straightened up a little but i was still curved, lost traction then high sided. Shoulder hit the trucks bumper so luckily the truck has no damage, my tail got fucked but thats alright because of the hit and run from before, i would have to get it replaced anyways. Gas tank scuffed to the metal slightly, gas tank fairing has a big chunk gone. 2 Screws from the windshield is missing, i think the forks are off by like 2 or 3 degrees. All in all a learning experience for riding in the rain. INCREASE BRAKING DISTANCE SHIT LOADS, DONT MAKE ANY ASSUMPTIONS. Im with beacon now but i fear if i claim it they will not accept me next year, so might just fix it myself, damage isnt that noticeable. Should i tape up the bare metal on the gas tank to prevent corrosion? What type of tape should i use? Pics in spoiler. Sorry most the photos were taken with a potato. Spoiler! |
Very unlucky. I never intend to ride in the rain and always make assumptions, safe ones at least. If I see a truck stopped, I always 99.9% stop behind him and wait. Don't assume he will go, ride smart. It's like getting stuck behind two cars and the first one is making a left turn. I hardly change lanes and pass cause I always assume the guy in front of me will change lanes and you're on a bike, he'll almost never see you pull out. |
Spoiler! I hope you're ok. At the very least get the bike looked at. You wanted to make sure it still rides straight. If you highsided, theres a high chance theres more damage than meets the eye. I hope you were able to walk away |
walk us through what happened again because i can't figure out how you highsided. but fuck man that sucks. at least you're ok though. not enough balls for 12 o clocks yet lolol :( https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.n...12615033_o.jpg |
^ I want a picture like that. |
