Quite possibly, not sure.

I remember sliding towards the left so i would be leaning right, then im on the floor on the right side of the bike but if the bike kept the path of the first slide it would have gone out to traffic, the bike was maybe half a meter below me.

rk604 10-13-2012 07:52 PM

well try to remember...only way to improve or learn is to know what you did wrong

Raid3n 10-13-2012 10:28 PM

might have started to slide, and then caught? that could highside you.

i locked up the rear going thru gastown not too long ago... damn those cobblestones...
and that was in the dry ... not even gonna bother in the rain.

other than that my bike hasn't been terrible in the rain... aside from being a bitch to start up.

BillyBishop 10-14-2012 07:32 AM

damnit man that sucks, glad you're ok though. How hard did you hit the truck?

Could've gone down like I did, I let go of everything and slid off the seat before the bike highsided so I was saved from flying into that ditch with my bike

Kayci 10-14-2012 02:37 PM

Glad to hear you're okay! Maybe there was some oil on the road or something :(?

z3german 10-14-2012 03:00 PM

possibly, there it was just starting to get heavy (the rain) so all the oils would have been out. But all in all still my mistake for not keeping a bigger distance.

Taped up the cracked gas tank fairings and various scratches with electrical tape, if you just glance at my bike it looks mint :alonehappy::badpokerface:

From what I remember and figured, it was a lowside and you slid and hit something that flipped you in a ditch.

Pretty hard to highside that corner, lol.

604trueno 10-15-2012 04:13 PM

great to see you can still type. bikes can be fixed easily enough

i wish i could do a wheelie! dumped my clutch at full revs rolling in 1st and i might have unloaded the suspension a bit :(

z3german 10-15-2012 07:24 PM

Ordered a set of Pilot Road 3's!

When i get em installed ill take pics of my bike, hopefully at that wall graffiti place.

Im so happy with my bike, i keep looking at the damage and i keep being amazed at how little you see it.

What bike you have? Im gonna take a stab and say that full revs is too high. I tried a little and I can get the front up a foot with like 7k.

Minimized the cosmetic damage, replaced broken windshield with stock one

Well, finally pieced together some cash to replace my stolen ZX7R that insurance completely screwed me on. Couldn't find an exact replacement that was clean enough for my liking, so I ended up scooping up a later model C2 ZX9R.
I'm a sucker for these old carb'd larger displacement Kawi's.

Building an exhaust for it fairly shortly, and picked up a set of shorty levers and a couple other small pieces to start. Started building a dual round headlight assembly (retrofit into the single assembly) too, since I prefer that look.

Happy with it so far. Just wish I didn't acquire it under such shitty circumstances. Miss my 7.

Thanks man !

Much better. We finally landed a shop space, and are wrapping up production on our first-run proprietary releases. So things have really been looking up on all sides. It was just bad timing . . . I mean, not like any time is a good time to have your bike stolen and insurance not pay out a cent -- but, having just moved up here and having all my funds tied up in my company, it was that much worse. But, roll with the punches. All you can do.

Yup, I'll be riding year round. Need to pick up a new set of non-perforated gloves, but it's been decent in the cold rain so far. Anything's good compared to Alberta weather, haha.

Thanks for keeping an eye out, too.
