i just booked a round trip for 900ish total. not as cheap as the roundtrip rate advertised, but i think you just have to choose the right days. the return trip was initially 738, but once i went through with it, i had the option of choosing a more inexpensive one. i chose april 26 and may 10 as my departure and return dates respectively.

I had an all inclusive trip to this place called "samba vallarta" (google it) for $925 a person last year. First trip I ever went to. We're planning on going back with a big group of friends in sept again

I'm looking for cheap flights from Vancouver to San Francisco/Oakland.. I've checked Allegiant, but it's not cheap for days that I want to depart/arrive..

Air Canada is $380 including tax, any cheaper alternatives?

What dates are you going? That will probably determine the price.

If you're willing to make the trek to Seattle, you can probably get some killer deals. I did a quick check on Orbitz, and I get the following prices (note, it's in USD)

Non Stop:
Northwest: $98 ($119 taxes in)
United Airlines & Alaska Airlines: $98 ($126 taxes in)
Virgin America: $107 ($129 taxes in)
US Air: $107 ($136 taxes in)
AA: $117 ($139 taxes in)

Pretty cheap and probably worth the drive, especially if there's more than one of you going.

SFO is a United hub, so AC/United would be probably the cheapest bet if you were to leave from YVR if you want non stop. If you don't mind layovers, you can probably check Alaska Airlines to see if their rates are any better.
