I'd think if he is tired of LIGHT SPEED FLYING and BULLET BLOCKING, Superman would rather drive this than a manual~

240's are the easiest to learn Manual in.
Tons of low end torque, soft stock clutch, rwd.

You don't need to finesse it like you do with a fwd/awd. There's enough torque to just ease off the clutch to get it moving, and dropping the clutch in RWD is fun.

Plus, the KA lags enough that rev-matching is easy as hell. Pedals are positioned just right for easy heel-toe(use the sides of your feet) , and did I mention Clutch Dropping through a turn?
It's awesome.

what alphamale said.

ok. you don't use this to HOLD the car in place at a red light. you obviously have clutch in, brake in.

when the light is about to go green, you clutch to that "point" and you can move your right foot from break to gas without the car/truck rolling backwards.

that's what i mean. don't replace the brake with the clutch holding. just learn where it is.
I do the same thing. So that is NOT considered "riding the clutch" right?

So since someone already bumped this thread, I'm taking advantage of it

Anyone know any good parking lots (besides Lougheed Walmart, and the superstore that was mentioned earlier) that have good sized hills? Learning to drive in my brother's rx-7 and hills are being a pain in the ass. So I want more time to practice, but the lougheed parking lot is always busy until like 2 or 3am. Any suggestions? Preferably close to Port Moody/Coquitlam.

if its a particularly steep hill, get the revs up to 6000, drop the clutch. hit the nitrous, and hold on.

i still remember getting use to manual when i did the tranny swap in my car...

having driven manual before, and driving manual all the time are completely different things. always come to scenarios such as the hill, or even cruising to a stop, when to clutch in, when to clutch out, what gear your suppose to be in, if u should follow each gear according to the speed ur going...

and yes, i rmemeber the hill on boundary & hastings and the less agressive one @ boundary & grandview highway. 3rd car in the lane, on the hill at hastings & boundary, i tried the "ebrake" technique for the first time. i end up doing a burn out due to bad co ordination. solution? ignore the hill like a plague! take a side street and go up kootenay or even skeena to get to hastings, or take pender in the other direction...

as for hastings and grandview, you just learn to be fast with ur feet, and hope u dont stall... no way around it but practice...
