Tried
McDonalds new Chicken Supreme burger today
They have: Tangy Thai, Mushroom Swiss, and BLT
Being a huge mushroom guy, I ordered mushroom swiss
Here we go Attachment 7330
Choice of grilled or crispy chicken, I chose grilled tasted okay, few mushrooms and swiss tasted extra plastic-y today. Attachment 7331
Who am I kidding its McDonalds

cactus club cafe
-broccoli cheese soup
-noodle + fish
-steak
cant remember exact names
the steak was not worth it imo. the noodle + fish was AMAZING. the soup... they add a layer of cheese on top and its like melted + a lightly burnt to give it a crispy texture.
Good, Pricey. like 35 bucks for steak LOL
7.5/10

guu garden.
Went with about 10 friends, drank the place dry, had about 18-20 items between us at around 10 on monday.
Service 9/10 Waitress was great, accomodating, fast.
Food 9/10 - would have been 10 but the kitchen was out of quite a bit of stuff. No real big deal at all as everything was amazing but would have liked to try some more stuff. Stand outs were:
horse sashimi, tempura prawn, pork cheek, fried tofu.
Price 10/10
It was barely 40 bucks a person to get fairly drunk and fairly full. It was even better when my buddy lost the game of credit card roulette and had to pay the whole thing!

Haroo, home style Korean restaurant on alexandra road... 2nd floor of this building next to "deer garden"
8.5/10.. owner is very friendly. Place is runned by him and his wife and they make simple korean dishes. the banchan's, appetizers, dessert (all free of charge) were great.

place smelled like old faded pee (very faint) when I first walked in...wtf :/
got used to it, suppose it's from an old building/hotpot/dirty carpet et al.
6.5/10
there's better dim sum in town for sure.

So when I was in Edmonton for a week last month, I ate almost every dinner at the Cactus Club and tried a variety of different things (great when you're on the boss's tab ). Everything was great, but I would ESPECIALLY recommend "Rob's Hunter Chicken" - "button, portabello, shiitake and crimini mushroom demi-glace, green beans, and herb fingerling potatoes"

Still a bit pricey but the portions are decent

love the herb that was crusted on the lamb
the crust had a horseradish taste to it
dish came with fettucine
pretty delicious

| Risty's Cafe and Sushi Bar
Vancouver - 8542 Granville St
I don't usually take the time to put reviews of how good a restaurant is so bare with me. Service - 9/10 : Staff is very friendly even though their English is very limited. They're quick on the orders majority of the time. Sometimes if there are a lot of customers at one time, the service can get slow, but it's not really a big of a deal. Food - 10/10 : There is NEVER been a problem with the food. There's a lot of stuff on the menu but I suggest you choose from the Sushi section. I usually go for the Box A which is $11.95 (and you can get it at any time). It comes with Beef or Chicken Teriyaki (I usually go for the chicken). Assorted Tempura, Seaweed Salad, Dynamite Roll and 3 pieces of Nigiri. All for roughly a $15.00 bill. Ambiance - 7/10 : Place looks like it's a bit run down but it's fine.
I've went back there a lot since I used to live near marine drive (no longer, white rock for me) but I come back once in a while. Food's great and isn't that what matters? Total - 9/10 : If I eat by myself my bill comes to around $13 something. Not bad for such a big meal.

| Le Vol au Vent $$ on the strip in White Rock
decided to take my family out for french food. owned and operated by a french couple. the menu is rich with unique meats and deserts. my fam ordered duck, lamb, rabbit, and rib eye.
the duck was delish. nice cranberry sauce.
the rabbit was chewy. not my choice.
the lamb was decent... much better in greek restaurants.
now. i ordered the rib eye because i wanted some steak.
its fairly decent size for steak. comes with a few veggies and some sauce.
id rate it 7/10.
heres the best part. i found a hair going from the sauce onto the veggies.
i have short hair and my gf has really long hair. this was something in between.
so i was being polite and didnt want to make a scene. went up to the waitress and quietly told her. she apologized and took the dish away.
here is the best part. she comes back with another steak and says, "the hair wasnt mine since i do not work in the kitchen"
that about killed it for me. i dont give a shit if its your hair, i found hair in my dish.
anyways, mistakes happen, i let it go. i examined my new steak and found nothing wrong. it was too marbly for my liking so i barely finished it.
we got some drinks and desert. the bill came out to 209 between 4 people.
and she still charged me for the steak. i couldnt believe it.
never going again. i never had a time where myself or anyone i knew was charged for a meal they did not enjoy or found something wrong with. this is not how you keep people coming back. desert 8/10
food 6/10 best dish was the duck.
customer service was at 9/10 then dropped to 1/10.
never going there again. |

also who the fuck cares about a single fucking hair in your steak?
Are you asian? have you seen how the food's prepared in asia?
Just put the hair aside and keep eating.
