BT Cafe, pretty good and consistent. My 'white' ladyfriend loves this place, and we go quite often. When you gonna join us BCRDukes?

kamei royale burrard and georgia karaoke section
went there for drinks and appetizers
had chicken wings and oysters
ceasar and asahi beer
celery that was placed in my drink looked dry and browning. chucked that out of my drink. We had a shot of goose each. We had a bottle of asahi, then ordered two more, and they gave us one that was fine, and the other bottle was watered down for sure. They probably thought we were drunk. The label on the bottle was peeling. We called the manager over to bitch. She cracks a new bottle open in front of us to insure freshness. Chicken wings come, worst chicken wings I've ever had. The oysters came, we were so paranoid about the freshness, I ate two of the twelve, and left the rest. Friends didn't even eat any. Never going to eat there again. 0/10 because the shit they tried to pull with the watered down beer.

9/10 Kyo on Granville
Took gf and her cousin there and left happily full.
Service was amazing. Food came really fast, tea was refilled religiously.
We all LOVE the oyster motoyaki. The agedashi tofu was good too. Nothing spectacular about the sashimi except for the salmon with the spicy sauce. The sauce was heaven. The cones were tasty as well. The sushi was good especially the Alaska rolls. The seafood BBQ was pretty fresh. The BBQ meat was ok, the ribs was nice and tender. The BBQ salmon was too much fat and not enough meat.
The order is by pieces and everything is quite small (except for the sashimi). For round 1, I would go 3 pieces per person, 6 if you absolutely love it.
Underground parking is a bitch and not many spot. I would go straight to park on the street nearby.

La Buca La Buca
Had their 5 course chef's selection to have a taste of multiple dishes. Small place but very good food. 9/10 - compared to other places, e.g. Provence. I would rate Provence as 6/10, just for comparison.
1. Prawns on baugette with green chili sauce
2. Truffle rissotto
3. Grilled/baked Char
4. Huge steak with agrula salad (to share among four of us)
5. Dessert, cheesecake and lava cake, two of each
Above are not the exact name that they use, just my description.

Kits Daily
Went a couple weeks ago, but wanted to review it. Just finished watching a show at the planetarium with my wife and was walking around kits to find a restaurant to eat. Came across kits daily, and looked interesting so we tried it out.
Food 9/10, service 10/10
Had the scallop ceviche and asparagus salad as appetizers. Scallops were cooked just right and was tasty. Asparagus salad was tasty, but some of the spears were too fibrous to chew and swallow. For entree, wife had pork rack and I had the king salmon. Both were very tasty again, and my salmon again was cooked just right (just done in the middle). Originally they got my order wrong, got me king crab and instead of the king salmon. They got the correct dish prepared relatively quickly and gave us a free complimentary dessert trio. I like how they have a different menu daily and will definitely repeat. Will probably try their 5-course chef's adventure dinner next time
