went to LA. Busy weekend with friends (stayed in mostly in fullerton/irvine/aneheim hills)
Slaters 50/50 (just outside of aneheim hills)
Got the 50/50 1 pound patty (after its cooked) which is essentially half bacon half beef.
ordered from the design menu
Got, it medium well on the white bun, with baconnaise, and garlic aioli, with brie and blue cheese, wich anchovies, grilled onions, lettuce, sun dried tomatoes, sunny side up egg, and roasted green chiles.
cut open
My friend (i didnt take a picture got the peanut butter and jelly burger)
deep fried pickles.
maple bacon milkshake
Albertacos. Essentially late night mexican food. Somewhere near fullerton.
got a carne burrito, and 3 rolled tacos deep fried, topped with guacomole and cheese) The burrito was fucking awesome. The 3 rolled taco's were a little rich and much.
Love Letter Chicken and Pizza
Bulgoggi pizza
Spicy Garlic Chicken. Essentially a korean pizza joint.
Taquiria mexicana. Down the street from the honda center in anaheim.
This place is good. Real good. I got esophogus, chorizo, head (the best one imo), al pastor (fucking delicious), carne asada, and carnitas pork.
I asked to go back here a second time. Each taco is 96 cents. Also washed it down with delicious horchata.
Went to in and out. Whitespot is still better.
Since I was in irvine went to some asian mall... it was the busiest fucking mall ive ever seen in my life. Think aberdeen on the busiest day of its life, and multiply it by 15.
Every resteraunt had a lineup out the door, and even ajisan (shitty fucking ramen) had a lineup out the door. There is a really famous taiwanaese bakery there called something along the lines of 89th street that had a 50 person lineup.
(Ajisan terrible ramen... the meat in it was fucking delicious though)
Parking was impossible too.
We ended up eating at a tofu house
bimbimbop was fucking delicious
Honestly wish I ate at some better places, but we were on a tight schedule. I heard the ramen in downtown LA is fantastic.
What's the name/address of this Asian mall? I was in LA/Anahiem last week. All we did was hit up late night Chinese food near Garfield/Atlantic in Montery Park.
On the last day, we went to Orochon in Little Tokyo. That was pretty good but I still like Santuoka better. Posted via RS Mobile
they aint a test kitchen, they're just the newest one in a lower mainland
whitespot morgan crossing is the newest one
i work at the one on marine and ross, should hit me up sometime
im the kitchen manager there, i try my hardest to keep the quality of food as high as i can =[
oh.. i just recently ate there with the wife... the um.. zoo sticks looked very strange... the batter wasnt even stuck to the sticks !!! (on a good note.. they were not overcooked... nor soggy..) just strange that they didnt adhere properly...
i also tried your bahm mi burger... not bad.. definately not what i was expecting.. haha
Marine & Ross is test kitchen+headquarters office. They renovated...old kitchen was so outdated/dirty...I would know, I worked there years ago.
Byrne Road location is okay, just looks fancy & new, that's all..
Cho, how long have you been kitchen manager? I worked when Maureen was there, like 3...shit 4 years ago now. Mary's still head grill? Mark's still there?
my gf works at market crossing and im pretty sure that one is the headquarters.

-Caught the tail-end of the happy hour, oysters were $1.5 each (Rodney's better if you're looking to have oysters)
-Set menu at $32, 3 courses. More like a tasting menu
-Services was okay, but the waitress said she can't do split bills for a party>8 which was kind of inconvenient
yea thats what hes talking about, the broth aint even hot last time i went there. This is one of those places where they take your tax money and don't report it back to the govt. to this place
edit: alleljuah or w/e it is spelled cafe. Got the sup chow ow haw and doeng ling cha. was alright but the servers there are one of the worst in richmond.... mean 24/7 to EVERYONE when i see them lol 6/10
cactus on 3 road. ordered the prawns/scallops spaghettini. 3 prawns and 3 scallops i think. Wish they had more scallops 8/10
aberdeen foodcourt cafe delite hainanese chicken i will never get sick of that. Super cheap, less than 8 bucks for plate + small soup 9.5/10

fucking rip-off place, the portions are so tiny. Basically you are paying for a small bowl of "oil rice" and a few pieces of fat chicken (drum stick meat). The soup is only filled half way. For close to $8, you can find better and bigger portions food elsewhere. Its definitely not cheap. If you look inside, looks like they hire "cheap labour" (rural china fobs) to make the chicken for them, so who knows how dirty food is prepped and handled inside.
Its $7.25 plus HST for the meal BTW. Highly not reccomended if you are hungry because its more like a snack and i'm a small eater too.
^lmao you should go to the actual restaurant. Even more expensive! But the reason behind using the drum stick meat is because it's dark meat and it's more tender/silky or whatever lol Posted via RS Mobile

i was just refering to the above poster about him saying its 'super cheap" when its definitely not cheap. The flavour isnt even all that great. I would rate it 6/10 at best.
