going there is like being in a video game, the whole place is decorated like a moon base, and the theme is you are an attempted escapee slave.. So when you get there a hot chick in a skimpy police uniform handcuffs you then they take you to your cell, and all the food and drinks are horror themed. Halfway through, all the lights turn off, and these mutants go around harassing the prisoners. Pretty fun and the food wasn't bad either!
Tropika @ 2975 Cambie Street [5.5/10]
food was 6/10
service was 9/10
price was 3/10
- the food came within 4-5 minutes ... i have a slight suspicion of them just re-heating some of it
- nice guys, pretty good service
- pretty damn expensive
Or you meet some girl at the club, cum inside of her, find out shes only in grade 12, so you buy a Prada bag for her to make things right, she finds out the bag is a fake and decides to have the kid

Went to E tap tonight with the gf. (Dale Mckay's sports bar)
Menu: it really doesn't catch the eye considering who designed it, but I think thats the way its intended
Food:8/10 The wings and the steamed pork bun were awesome according to the gf, braised then fried ribs w/chili cider vinegar were good, but the breading retained a little too much grease.
Service:10/10 We ordered 3 appys, however I made the mistake of not asking if there were nuts on the pork buns. I fucking knew there would be and I still didn't. They offered to make me another one. I declined though. My stupidity shouldn't cost them, but the fact she didn't even hesitate to offer was really above and beyond. I used it as an excuse to steal all the wings away from my girlfriend anyway since it was what I really wanted.
Price: 6/10 6.50 for a sleeve of grasshopper was a bit much, 4 dollars for a fucking diet coke was out to lunch, but the food was a fair price considering the portion size.
Overall 7.5 out of 10
I really just hoped for a little more creativity behind bar food from such a well regarded chef. The food quality was there, but it didn't stand up to the potential. Although I do think this is due to me having a bit of a skewed idea of what the intentions of the restaurant are. I'd go back for sure, but I think I need to try ensemble (the real one) before I go back here so I can see something a little more exciting from such a well regarded chef/restaurant owner.
Went there earlier tonight for dinner. Had the buttermilk fried chicken wings and bacon wrapped meatloaf- shared both with bf. Chicken was crispy and juicy but I found them to be on the fat side... i was literally picking off chunks of fat.. first time I ever did that with chicken wings so I found that strange... the first two were good... then the subsequent two got kind bleh. I'd suggest 3-4 people sharing the wings as an appy. Maybe I just had too many and it got kinda heavy.
The meat loaf was super tasty, meat was well seasoned and juicy, the puree underneath it was absolutely delish, and it was served with two huge deep fried mashed potato balls which was different and yummy.
I think because the wings were fried and mashed potato was fried the meal got quite heavy and I didn't enjoy every bite of it. Definitely yummy food.. but won't be going for the fried stuff next time.
Service was attentive as we were the only ones there.. haha
8/10

Invisible sky daddies commanding people to do shit is just so beyond retarded, I feel like punching myself in the balls until I shit my computer chair.

they didn't fucking skimp it by putting a few long pieces of sashimi like other places, they went rich and chopped tons and tons and tons and tons of pieces of sashimi (salmon and tuna) together in an oily colourful (blue and orange) salad
