Memphis Blues Barbeque House (W. Broadway): 6/10
Ordered the Elvis Platter which had every meat and sides offered. The meats included ribs, rib ends, pulled pork, chicken, beef brisket, and sausages. The sides included coleslaw, potato salad, fries, beans, and BBQ sauce. While the quantity was there, there quality was somewhat lacking. I found the ribs and brisket to be tender but, like the majority of the meat, they were rather dry unless you applied some BBQ sauce. Service was adequate although, you do have to get your own drinks and order at the counter. The restaurant is small so, seating is a bit tight.

^dont know which one I like more, hog shack or Memphis blues.
Hog shack seating is much more comfortable. A waitress actually somewhat does her job. Food.... brisket and pull pork both places very good. Hog shack has more options for sides.

Memphis Blues is just meh. The brisket is kinda dry and their fries are WAY too salty/seasoned. Last time I went a few weeks ago, they didn't have any ribs at all (WTF?), and when I got iced tea, they had no ice.

29th ave cafe - 9.5/10
Food was fantastic. This is one of the few places I have enjoyed through and through. I had ordered the mushroom chicken sautee and the GF ordered the pork curry katsu.

Its on boundary road and 29th ave.
Come to think of it, I would rate my dish a 9.5 and the GF's an 8-8.5. But overall, I'd say 9.

I've never been able to force myself to enjoy Japanese curry. Ever.

Lido is straight up highway robbery these days.
i.e. Satay beef noodle with fried eggs, ham and an ice drink costs almost $10.
