Oru Pacific Rim 7.5/10
Went here for a few drinks and snacks to catch up with friends.
Had chef's choice of charcuterie. Quite dissapointing as there were only two kinds of cured meats and cheese..not to mention we found a piece of plastic wrapping probably off the cured meats. On top of that, we had fries (parm, bluecheese, and bacon flavor) that were made from russel potatoes (kennebec > anything).
Although food was mediocre, the service was excellent which equaled out in the end as the sole purpose was to catch up and such; not so much food.

This place has kept their consistency since day one which is surprising but not surprising at the same time.
Didn't expect the shortbread cookie to be THAT small for $1.75 . Macarons had good texture and flavor.

Tried Tokyo Joe's Ramen Okawari in Richmond today.
My wife ordered the miso sapporo ramen and I ordered the spicy miso sapporo ramen.
Both were $8.95 a bowl.
Food and service were good.
My only disappointment was that the servings could have been bigger.
8/10
Going to have to go back to try their sushi

Tableau bar bistro tonight with the wife.
trout tartare - Cucumber, avocado, lime, frisee, quail egg, steelhead.
Steak frites - sirloin, watercress salad, frites, garlic aioli, jus
Pork tenderloin au poivre - pomme puree, green beans, peppercorn sauce
Gateau de saison - cheesecake with chocolate crumble and rhubarb compote
Food was fantastic. True classic french fashion. Heavily seasoned, rich, lots of spice from the pepper, nice char on the steak. Cheesecake was AMAZING, and I don't even like cheesecake.
Service was top notch. Professional with a personality, efficient, attentive and she was smoking hot.
Showed up 15 minutes early for our reso and were seated immediately. Great atmosphere, the occasional chat with the tables around us. Would recommend it to everyone.
Bill was 89 bucks with a glass of wine each.

Steveston Seafood House
Pretty damn good. Fun drinks, cool appetizers. (The mussels+fries were definitely something different.) Reasonable prices too. Service was a bit slow, but they were pretty busy so I cut them some slack.

2 more weeks.
Happy we got a new menu in before I left. I know the "muscles" aren't the most original combination, but you have to cater to your audience. New menu is good, but don't get the veggie burger. Its a flop. Probably going to reprint and go back to the old one. Bison salad, duck leg, whitebait, burger, pork cheeks, arctic char are all of my suggestions. Come say hi, I'll be there friday/saturday night til 12. Just look for the best looking guy in the kitchen.
