Chewies and Abigail's also have chicken and waffles. Abigail's has been horrible as of the last 2 months so I'd suggest chewies or tableau. Posted via RS Mobile |

Red Wagon 6/10
Got the pork belly. More pork fat than belly, so I couldn't finish it. Tried the Jack pancakes and pulled pork benedicts. All nothing out of the ordinary. Definitely not worth the hype or lining up for.

Burgoos on west 4th. Awesome comfort food. The soup and sandwiches are very tasty. I go there for dinner all the time now. The pull pork burger is one of my favorite there. 9/10.

Lol I posted that 5 posts up. And don't bother with abigails. They are awful as of late. Chewies is a bit overpriced, but their food is really good and they've gotta pay the north of fourth tax somehow, so I can dig it.

The Carthage on commercial drive
Snapper with shrimp bisque sauce
Fish was cooked perfectly, sauce was rich but complimented the snapper
Lunch Trio
Char flavor way too strong for my liking, but flavor overall was good.
Overall 8/10

Green lemongrass on Kingsway -
5/10, flavor was there with msg. Decent amount of noodle and toppings. Temperature of the soup killed it. It was between luke warm and hot. The rare beef was still red at the end of my meal (and i buried it under the noodles). Compared to the Richmond location, it's sad. Hope it is just a 1 time thing with unacceptable soup temperature.

Broth was not hot and broth just sucked imo. Not to mention the other items they had, sucked as well.
I haven't been to the Richmond Location, but I'm not going to be a repeat customer. Over 90% rating on Urban spoon, crazy.
& I know it's summer and we haven't had rain in a while, but could you wash down the back parking lot near the garbage can? Man, that reaks.

went brown's social house last night with the gf
she had the chicken teriyaki dragon bowl and i had the 2 pc fish n chips and appy yam fries. we shared everything which was really goood
8/10 overall. Didn't enjoy their ice tea much..too much ice and not sweet enough for me. Food was actually really good, not too oily on the fish.

Sushi by Yuji
I think Yuji's volume is picking up which is a good.. also he is quite creative with vegetables.. I really like his asparagus rolls.
His Pocky sticks have downsized though. His menu can use a reprint.. there are so many adhoc changes it is quite distracting. It reminds me one of the horrible profs I had in the early 90s, where he cut and paste within a piece of acetate overhead!
A good solid 8

I gotta pay him a visit soon.
Did he end up getting his liquor license?

Sushi by Yuji
I go to see Yuji quite a bit too. Such a friendly guy once you get to know him. Kinda shy but loves his customers and food. I always ask him what he suggests and it is always amazing.
He told me that he has applied and thinks he will get his liquor license sometime in September.
9/10
