The August Jack on 4th

Went for the $1 oyster on Sunday and had some shared plates.
The shared plates were okay.
Oysters had bits of shell/sand in there.
Service was good.

7/10

Black and blue.

It looked beautiful inside, but the foods were too salty.
Ordered the prime rip, burger, side of mushroom, cream of spinach and baked potato.

Went to "Big T's" in Calgary after an interview. Got the pulled pork, burgoo and baked beans for 11 dollars. Pretty good. The mustard was good. A friend is taking me to Palomino tomorrow in downtown. Same type of place.

Red Robin on Robson

4/10
Royale Burger- bacon, cheddar, fried egg. Cheese tasted nasty, bacon overly greasy, fried egg was fried to a solid puck. It was a free bday burger for me though, so w/e

Onion rings- first two were good... the rest were too greasy and hard to eat... so left half of it un touched

Mint brownie shake- First few sips were alright, then just tasted like mint syrup and lukewarm cream afterwards.

Perfect place for the low maintenance diner willing to pay for overpriced burgers and fried shit.

Met Westopher at Homer Street Cafe and Bar today.

Nice guy and an imposing figure (6 ft+).

Appreciated the fact that he took the time to come out and talk for a bit, especially during the dinner hours (place was PACKED).

Take out was good!

But, I definitely prefer the pasta lobster!

Please bring it back!

haha I'm only 5'9, I just look big because I'm covered in tattoos and always have an angry disposition at work. Thanks for coming in! Lobster pasta is gone for a while, its a very summery dish IMO and we are wanting heartier stuff for fall. We do 3-4 dinner specials every night though so I'll send you a PM if we run it one day so you can come have it. BTW I almost shit my pants seeing your car roll around the corner. The RS5 in red is so stunning rolling down the street.

Nice, thanks in advance for the private PM.

Your lobster pasta is THAT good, and that was take out before as well (take out tend to be less tasty when eaten at home).

*Edit* forgot. I was actually the driver, nvm.

Go to Tung Hing, you'll never look back.
Also.
If you're really, really lucky, you'll get the bread hot out of the oven.
Crispy yet soft, almost melts in your mouth.

Hawksworth Saturday Brunch:

9/10:

had the beef burger (signature dish) with fries

Patty was charred slightly (perfect) and well cooked.

Burger was quite large and was very filling.

Fries were tasty with 2 sauces (mayonnaise and ketchup)

Price:
A little more than dim sum at Kirin, so it was not bad at all.
