Also tried their fish taco and boulibase which were both great. Will return for po boy and try their fish and chips and clam chowda next!!

fries were money too

Finally made it out to LA Chicken. Walked there from the automall to kill time.

Even 40 mins after (I walked back to dealer to eat), the chicken was very crispy, hot, and juicy. Got the spicy. Not spicy at all, but seasoning was great (not too salty, not bland at all). Definitely better than KFC/Church's by a mile. Was given an extra piece, so that's an extra rating point in my books.

Fries were an afterthought. Next time I'll probably just order rice lol

8/10.

Fries are meh. Get the spuds/wedges next time! It's a bit extra, but so much better than their fries.

I didn't see that as an option! I got the lunch special which just said fries/salad/rice.

Given that a park is across the street I may just drag the fiancee out for a picnic and try to be romantic

Master Chef - 6/10

I'm somewhat convinced the place is a time machine. The old man who works there reminds me of my grandpa, the corner booths near the window always have loud eastern Europeans, there's a payphone near the entrance and the whole place looks like it hasn't changed in 20-30 years.

The food wasn't that great, but I guess it serves me right for picking something off the wall. I had a pork cutlet and my friend had fish n chips. The fish tasted like it was glazed with Chinese oyster sauce and the pork cutlet was burnt and drowned in Chinese gravy.

Rajio again. Holy fucking crap I love this place. 1000000000/10
The value is incredible.
Had hells ramen,
diablo chicken,
spot prawn, trout and tuna carpaccio,
snow crab, shrimp dumpling, beef, pork, onion, asparagus, and squid skewers
ebi mayo
Came to $54 with tax and tip with 2 glass bottles of coke.
Me and my wife left painfully full.

La Mezcaleria, on Commercial and 1st Ave. Place was busy, had decent beer. I'm not a heavy beer drinker and connoisseur, but it was nice. Had some braised lamb and vegetables in paper, with steamed rice. It was good, but a very small portion for $19. The 4 mix and match tacos for 11 bucks looked better.

7/10

After, friends wanted to get some drinks, so we went down the street to Charlaton. I already had a beer, and I'm not a drinker at all, so I just got a poutine since I was still hungry haha. $13 for a Charlaton poutine, with pulled pork, gravy and cheese. Was really good. Friends seemed to enjoy all their drinks too.

Excuse the bad phone picture.

Tropika @ lansdowne

5/10, everything tasted like it was drowning in sugar.
the pad thai was ketchup, siracha, seasame paste, and a dabble of soy sauce.
the hot and sour soup, was only sour and barely hot.
