6/10 | When was the last time you went? The head chef that was really good was ousted due to internal politics about a year and a half ago.

Red Robins - Broadway & Oak St.
Nothing spectacular, expectations the same everytime I go. Ordered the Whiskey River Chicken Burger. 8/10. Stupid server always came to ask us, how the food was, when my mouth was eating food.

Food got disgusting when all the fat was floating.
First and last time there.

| Ping's Cafe, food slightly too salty 7/10. Price not bad, relaxed and comfortable setting. Not worth the hype though, probably won't go back.
Japanese steak best, spinach way too salty..

Japanese steak best, spinach way too salty.. | i think the 'hype' over this place isnt really about the food but that its a different kind of japanese food experience

Dai Tung (Kingsway and Knight-ish) for dimsum. $2.50 dishes ftw!
They've cleaned up in recent months, but you're really there for the quantity instead of quality. For <$10/person you really can't go wrong. Because of the hordes of c-lais with the munchies during their MJ tournaments, the food is always fresh.

some RSers said that Zipang on Main was good so went to check it out...and maybe taste the now non-existing "spicy cactus roll"
arrived at 1:30pm, didn't kno they close at 3pm...
Anyways, ordered Dynamite Roll - the prawn inside was good, thats bout it (7/10) Ebi Chili Roll - didn't taste that great, but had a pleasant ZIPANG! to it. (8/10) Spicy Tuna Sashimi - omfg, sorry this was disgusting...i kno Japanese ppl don't like spicy, but this was a failure (basically tuna with soy sauce) (2/10) Ebi Mayo - this was more like popcorn shrimp with whole buncha orange mayo sauce on it (3/10) Sashimi Salad - was dry at first and then i asked for some more dressing...it was ok after that (6/10) Baked Eggplant - friend said it was pretty good, she rated it maybe (6/10) Service: wasn't that great, i ordered a coke, but i had to remind them thrice times and then my friend ordered a spicy udon and that didn't even come out at all so we just cancelled it.
I rate this place 4/10, would I go again? probably not
