Kirin in New West 7.5/10
Food and service were good. I especially enjoyed the scallop dumplings. The ambiance is a bit lacking though, all you can see out the window are parking lots LOL.
I think the Vancouver location would have a better view (by City Hall).

2.99 all-day breakfast @ Yummie Sushi. Both food and service is better than bons. 7.5/10 The place is really ghetto though LOL. Located in Kits.
Kent's Kitchen on Victoria Drive 9/10. For $4.50 I really don't think there is a better deal anywhere lol.

Sandbar
9/10
Sablefish was melt in your mouth, the oysters in a half shell were nice and sweet and fresh, albeit a little small. Excellent service as well |

La Tandoori Indian Restaurant in Steveston.
Surprisingly, the place was clean. The food is great and the server was nice as he explained to my friend and I the dishes on their menu. Ordered a Tandoori chicken meal and a combination appetizer platter to share. good stuff!
They even have a coupon in the Entertainment book.
8/10

Benkei Ramen on Thurlow
6/10. I ordered the cream/milk ramen and it tasted almost exactly like cream corn chicken soup which I wasn't expecting. Next time I will try one of the more popular (spicy miso) ramens.

Viet Sub @ 542 Robson
7.5/10 I am not a big Viet Sub fan (I prefer Japadogs ) however this place has really good subs, probably the best I've tasted. Much better than Bale (sp?).

Boston Pizza @ Metrotown
Pasta Tuesdays...had the Smokey Mountain and French Onion Soup
Bill came up to some $15 dollars, but the food was just average
giant meat balls, a huge mountain of pasta, but the plating was just atrocious. Looks like something I would make at home when I'm in a rush to watch the game.
French onion soup wasn't that great either. Smell of wine was overpowering and it just didn't "look" like a welcoming bowl of soup.
Nevertheless, I came home and took a massive dump so it was worth it I guess.
~7/10

i give up on Boston pizza since 3 years ago
mediocre at best, not so average prices.
If you are hella hungry, get the sub, along with the special pho and put spicey sauce in it
soooooo freaking good
they have this special cream sauce for the sub too if u are gonna dine in
BTW, i see u mention u prefer japadog better. Be patient, the japadog next door should be ready soon. There is also a jap beef thingy opening at the corner, still under reno. And right beside that another small new jap teriyaki place to go. Havent had the chance to try, both listed fairly cheap..around $5.99 +
