werd i cant believe some of u rat a 8 or a 9 for fast food.

if i walk into macdicks, i wouldnt expect the meal to be highly rated. more like just to satisfy my hunger. therefore a 6.5/10 sounds fair

Dim Sum @ Kirin Vancouver across from city hall.

Didn't get to sit on the side facing DT which sucks but the food and service was pretty good.

who are you to tell me that my burger at Harveys wasnt good and tasty

the ratings are just based on the satisfaction of the last meal you had, be it at home, at mcdonalds or at gothams

if you had a hotdog at 7-11 and it blew your mind, go right ahead and give it a 10/10
No I think you missed my point. To rate something on a scale of one to ten implies zero being the worst and ten being the best so if something like Mc Dicks is up there on the best youve ever had then Im suggesting you get out more and challenge your taste buds.
Rating fast foos joints like Harveys, Mc Dicks, A an Dubbs, etc as the best is just representing your culinary limitations much like how sporting a mullet listening to Iron Maiden may represent your cultural limitations.

My last outting was Mexican cantina in steveston thanks to that mexican food thread here or I never would have known it was here.
7/10 Good food, inexpensive but small portion. I would have rather pay a little more and eat a little more. Their home made chipotle sauce was excellent and no extra charge for the double mararita. Service was good and the waitress had a rockin pair of tits.

Guu in Gastown.
I normally am not a fan of Guu, but we had some family come in from Los Angeles.

All in all, 8.5/10. Service was prompt, food overall was good (with the exception of the salmon) and we all had a great time.

Went there last Friday, was not bad actually. And the air con looks pretty sketch... dirty + rusted....

Burgoo on Main St.

Had the Fondumental as a starter. Cheese fondue was really smooth and packed tons of good flavor. Good assortment of dipping items aside from bread as well.

Curry laksa for the main. Excellent flavors again. Lots of seafood, mushrooms and nice pieces of bbq duck. Only gripe I had were the tofu puffs (or maybe they were rice puffs, not exactly sure) melted into the broth as I ate and turned into a sludge near the end. Next time I order this I would just ask for them not to be included.

Had the Hot Chocolate Chili Pot for dessert. This was probably the highlight of the meal. Not extremely sweet, and a great kick of spice near the end.

Service was fantastic as well, making up for the hour wait for a table.

9/10
