i remember being served some very sketchy tasting tai last time. i tend to avoid it nowadays more often but the cooked food is decent enough and cheap and probably won't give you mudd butt.

I'm really considering it, it's a short drive from my house!

Round-Up Cafe

Went for breakfast. $9.50 for the eggs benny on special, and $11 for the french slam. Bit pricier than what I'm used to paying, but definitely worth it for the quality of food. It's a small little diner, and the quality shows.

Solid 8/10. Knocked off a few points for service (they were a little slow) and for the area as well as the lack of seating.

The Pourhouse in Gastown

Had the scallops to start, and the Pacific Ling Cod as my main. Scallops were good, although for $12 I was expecting a bit more than three scallops.
Ling Cod was delicious, crispy skin, tender in a nice broth.

They had live jazz last night which was a good touch, makes for a romantic setting

8.5/10
